Time to start doing Business Steve..!!

For a big fee. The problem with buying these young players from the big clubs (in addition to paying inflated prices) is identifying which ones of them are good enough to do the job in a lesser team. When you have the quality that the likes of Arsenal, Citeh, Liverpool and Chelsea have their young players given playing time can look better than they are simply because of the quality players around them. We need to be looking at prospects that are no more than £15-20m from lesser clubs and from the Championship IMO.

In this window, it's a case of strengthening the bench rather than replacing 1st team players (so far). McAtee doesn't fit that profile at the fee Citeh wanted.
Personally I’d look at Oscar Bob - he is a left footed right winger and available on a loan if you believe what is on “click bait”..!!

As I’ve previously posted I’m not a lover of loans - but if that’s the pond we’re fishing in Bob fits our requirements for depth in the squad..!!

Come on Steve - let’s get doing the do..!!

Well what more is there to say ?

It’s happened. Move on.

Well at least that’s what I’m doing - what you do is up to you - frankly I really don’t care !
Your position seems to broadly be that this website shouldn’t exist, because what’s the point in discussing things if we can’t change them or if they’ve already happened.

Bizarre.

Exciting young player with electric footwork, but the big injury last year would be a concern.

Is it a big fee? I’ve read around £20m, which is about what we paid for Wharton direct from the Championship.

For a 22-year old with ~50 PL appearances, that feels pretty reasonable to me.

As much as it would be so sweet to hijack the deal as it’s Forest - I can’t see it - as much as we disagree with the decision they’re in Europa and we’re in the Conference - that could be the defining factor..!!

But I honestly think Bob could be the better option especially given our style of play..!!

We’ll see..!!

COYP..!!

Whilst the click bait sites back in June and early July have quoted £20-25m, more recent ones (late July and early August) are saying £35-40m with one suggesting that Forest's first bid of £25m was swiftly rejected by Citeh. Forest purportedly are willing to go up to £30m but there are doubts Citeh will accept that figure. Time will tell, but what seems to be the case now is that he's not available at the £20m mark.

As I see it, Oliver Glasner is doing his job superbly well. Now it’s time for Steve Parish to start doing his, and getting Oliver the players that he needs to maintain our success. I’d hate to see the club going backwards again!
