Palace potentially denied entry to Europa League?

this is my worry.

That if common sense was applied, and all the dodgy shiz that Forrest are doing we'd be back in.

But, the worry is that they will just say Uefa applied the rule correctly. We'll ask them to apply it more consistently and look at some other stuff moving forward.
The issue here is that if we were a MCO we failed to comply with one rule not rules. Uefa has applied a sanction in our case but not for many others especially the ECA founder members e.g. Lyon. This was applied before Lyon were reinstated into Ligue 1 (9th July)) and confirmed after Textor had sold his shares to Woody Johnson. Therefore, in mitigation, even if Palace were in a MCO they have extricated the Club from this situation long before the competition started. As the Mikado said “let the punishment fit the crime” (Gilbert & Sullivan Operetta).

And if the Lord High Executioner disapplies the arbitrary cut-off date, that is precisely what he should do.

What ever the outcome be grateful for what we have, we are FA cup winners and a Premier League club with European Football. There are sadly teams like Sheffield Wednesday and Morcombe that are fighting for their very existence and I wish them all the best and hope they come through their troubles, just remember that was us not so long ago, I wont let UEFA diminish how far we have come. They might take away the Europa League, but they can't take away my pride in the club I love. COYP

Just saw the interview on Sky.

Steve P looked like he'd had the longest day ever. Could barely sum up any positivity at all.

From that, i think we know which way it is likely to go.

Conference League here we come!

Parish just given and interview to SKY and has to leave hearing as going to see new grandchild. He looked knackered and I didn’t get the impression that the outcome was going to be what we all want.
A day in court listening to legal submissions translated through headphones is not likely to make you look like you just left a spa day.

He may have been required to keep schtum until the decision is released and the embargo lifted.

Conclude nothing.

I agree the body language wasn't that of the usually upbeat Parish and he did state 'it's hard to feel confident' which is different to the postive tone set before the meeting.
I'm wondering if they will offer the useless 'symapthy' and talk of 'misfortune' but then conclude that the rules have been broken.

Like many others have already said, would you really expect him to give much away straight after leaving the hearing? And he's got to be knackered after this summer and after being in the hearing for over 8 hours giving detailed legal submissions his full attention. Don't think we can read anything into his demeanor.

No translators necessary as the Swiss, Italian and Dutch Arbitrators speak English. I understand Manfred Nan only speaks Dutch and English. However, keeping your concentration for nine hours must have been really tiring.
