Palace potentially denied entry to Europa League?

Watching the clip of Steve outside CAS afterwards he didn’t have the same optimistic manner about him anymore. Mentioned it was all about technicalities……I think we were hoping for common sense.

There is only one reason I want to win now. Because I keep seeing Forest and Brighton fans on social media saying "Well they just broke the rules and didn't read their emails. Parish is a mug and Palace are a tinpot club that can't accept they broke the rules".

Literally the only reason. It was once about more than that for me, not any more.

Mark my words, I will be relentless retrospectively going back through all those comments and posting a laughing emoji if this goes our way.

And yes, they got under my skin and that makes me the loser. I can accept that.

I get it burns but i'd try and make peace with us losing this appeal. Mr P looked dejected. Although not a forgone conclusion he is an intelligent man and will get the mood music that was in the room. I get the feeling the lawyers are focused on the technicalities rather than common sense. The law often isn't fair, sadly.

I'll join you though if we win the appeal.

ps we won the FA Cup so you can be happy with that, hopefully as it's historic and can't be taken away.

On the other hand, if Palace lose, they're correct.
Parish would have been appraised by his legal team regarding the finer points and technicalities and yet went ahead anyway. We shall know soon enough.

Agreed, certainly regarding the rule breach. I suppose my point is that Tarquin Velvetclam from Brighton doesn't know whether we've broken the rules any more than we do right now.

The FA Cup always has and always will be everything to me. But I still want to rub some noses in it.

The weed have won f all. Forest not for over 40 years and only when they were a class club. Which they ain’t now. We won the Cup less than 3 months ago on a magic day none of us will ever forget. And we are a class club albeit one that is prone to the occasional f up. I wouldn’t want to support anyone else.

My take on his interview is, that he has no idea what the outcome will be, as it hasn't finished yet. He would look foolish, if he said everything is fine, if on Monday after their deliberations over the weekend go against us. He has given it his best shot, but in it's the hands the CAS panel, who have a history of not deviating from the rules in place, despite arguments.

I got a bit emotional there. Sorry about that everyone.

it gone on longer than expected surprised no ,I said its alot more complicated than what has been said on here ,
I done 3 hours and was shell shocked after , not surprised Parish didnt know what day of the week it was in interview , there was a rye smile , but im not going to read to much in to that , fact that the lawyers was still talking is good news , so dont jump to far ahead , CAS will review the evidence , as I said before CAS will play devils advocate , im still 60/40 we will win

Just watched the interview. I thought he was conscious not to say to much and rightly so seeing as this was a behind closed doors legal argument.

I think people are reading a bit to much into his 'body language' etc... As somebody who has had alot of experience of sitting in courtrooms all day listening to legal arguments I cannot begin to tell you how mentally draining it is and quite often mind numbingly boring. He looked and sounded as I would fully expect him to.

Believe me nobody, after listening to legal arguments all day leaves the building feeling like they want to.perform the second Act of Singing in the Rain.

I still believe our appeal will fail as we have not conformed with UEFA's rules.
Common sense and justice does not come into it, just the facts.

I am happy we are, at least, in a European competition and one which we have a better chance of doing well.

What irritates me is the money Palace have had to lay out in the appeal. If we lose I do hope we don't get silly and start suing for 'compensation'

At least on Monday we can concentrate on getting in the 'at least' two players Glasner is wanting and focus on the 'four competitions' we are now playing in.

I am probably naive but if we have legal documents that show that we aren’t a MCO club, then shouldn’t that trump UEFA rules?
