Palace potentially denied entry to Europa League?

the Thierry Henry handball that got a poor French team into the World cup.

Fifa, UEFA, Lyon........

francophone types. Corrupt as feck. Always have been.

dont blame Nottm Forest, blame Lyon for getting us cheated out of our rightful place.

I wouldn’t want to be in the Directors box that game. The tension could be immense. The policing will be too! I wonder what the fanatics might do. Given that there will be a lot of media attention a tifo directed at Marinakis seems appropriate. There is a lot of scope for creativity.

Although as Marinakis has a history of banning those he doesn’t like from Forest maybe we will do the same to him and refuse them any tickets on the grounds of safety.
What about floating a giant inflatable of him over the pitch towed by a drone?

Scousers have been extremely effective for acting in numbers.

It becomes an issue for Sports Minister to HAVE to act on if CPFC club and fans act in their numbers, especially given what Mirror is now reporting: UEFA make rule change after kicking Crystal Palace out of Europa League. If fans choose to sit on their hands and moan at a computer screen then the outcome is inevitable...
yes, they knocked all English clubs out for a few years and the following season knocked us out also

Don’t forget if you fancy actively protesting against this injustice rather than just posting on here, the sword is mightier than the pen, or something like that 🤔

Personally, I am not blaming Notts Forest but I am blaming their owner.
1. Why would he run onto the pitch if he had no influence in the club and then berating Nuno?
2. For a man who has ownership of football teams who are a permanent feature in European competitions, why did he need to write to UEFA about Palace's involvement.
3. His club were sitting in a Champions League qualifying position up to the last match or two. Their failure on the pitch is the reason they got demoted two leagues, not Palace. He has to divert his internal anger at someone and he's chosen us.

I don’t know if it’s been announced by Palace but apparently we are being represented at CAS by Berlin Sports Law a boutique specialist firm of lawyers from Germany. 3 lawyers are retained, including the owner and managing partner. Looking at their history they have a lot of experience, especially with CAS.
I hope they have experience at winning cases.

Apparently UEFA are utilising the services of ‘Mr Loophole’

It doesn't look to me & it was only a cursory glance that they've actually represented any 'big hitters'

Which big hitters have appeared in front of CAS?

I think it’s clever using a German law firm to present our case. Someone familiar with the way CAS operates and thinks. I hope they will not only destroy the idea that we were ever a multi ownership club, so never had a conflict of interest or, therefore, a case to answer, but will also rely on a claim for the serving of natural justice. Even if UEFA can impose a rule from the 1st March and then interpret its meaning in the way they have, natural justice is not served now. Textor has no more involvement of any kind.

our breach of the rules re the deadline is pretty cut and dried, though there is some room there with extensions allowed and the notification of that, but the punishment is arbitrary and they may be able to prove inconsistency with previous cases and that it is not commensurate with the rule-breaking. If they can tie that in with all the Lyon and Forest trickiness and our current shareholder status than we must have a chance. How much chance is guesswork like all the other posts of course.

Well they successfully represented another club against us (at CAS), so I guess that's something 😂

I don’t agree. I think we can show that the rule did not apply to us, so we had no reason to abide by it. Further that as the only shareholder who has been accused of a breech was not controlled by the club there was nothing we could do, even if it could be held that the rule did apply. Any rule that cannot be followed is not fit for purpose and in conflict with natural justice.
