Palace potentially denied entry to Europa League?

It is a great irony that Marinatedkebabis could benefit from this. A man who has in the past had numerous accusations of match fixing, bribery, referee intimidation, blackmail and fraud. His Wiki page reads like the intro to a Panorama episode. You wonder how he even passed the PL fit and proper test? I don't think it's that much of a stretch to think a man like that could have bullied and coerced UEFA into kicking us out.

One more comment. 7 Lib Dem MPs have written to the culture secretary asking her to intervene in this "disgraceful" decision.

She won't.

But are the Lib Dems now the party of Palace?

(That last comment will cause some interesting reactions on our reactionary News threads)
Nor should she.

FIFA do not allow political interference, yes I know that's BS on their part, she would just make matters worse. FIFA are already threatening to sanction England if the independent regulator goes ahead.

It's fine for the FA to complain but the government should keep well out of it.

Eventually, he’ll just retire from frontline influence, and then his son will take over.

Should Parish choose to litigate, I hear Bird & Bird LLP have a top sports law team, with a list of illustrious clients. At the very least I hope someone asks how Girona FC and Manchester City both end up in the same competition, given City Football Group has a large stake in both clubs.

That’s because you’re the first to point it out!

We won the FA cup. That's great, a first for the club, in the record books for all time. We got into Europe on the back of it, again a first, but all things considered not as important as the cup victory or building on our position in the Premiership.
The Europa League would have proved tricky, I don't think we have the squad depth to seriously compete across all competitions effectively. We need to remind ourselves that our average Prem finish is around 12th, so not even in the top half, let alone playing extra games in Europe against some very decent sides. Should Parish contest the ruling I can only envisage it dragging on through the season, creating unnecessary doubt in the background. Add to which we don't know which players are going or staying, and / or who will be signed to replace them.
And then there is Glasner, who I suspect will leave at the end of his contract, poached by a "bigger" club.
Moral of the story: enjoy it while you can...
In total that’s a somewhat gloomy outlook. But four competitions is going to be demanding on the squad. The Conference we are probably OK, but if we were reinstated to the Europa, we could do with some more experience brought in. As for Glasner, he has a whole season to make good, if he doesn’t he might not move on, but if he reaches new heights only he knows, he will have options.

I have been reading, and posting, on the Forest LTLF forum. In the “Forest Banter”, Conference or EUFA League thread.

What a bunch of poorly informed people they are.

I guess you will be able to spot my posts. I hope I have taken quite a lot of wind from their sails.
Yep lots of moral high ground and opinion portrayed as fact. None of us have seen the uefa document with full details why demoted so we’re are guessing to a degree

At least with CAS they publish a summary statement with why decision reached which is available to the public however they won’t share the full details

I believe an appeal will relate to our circumstances only.

We can identify uneven handedness and the nature of those who may profit from our demotion to undermine the legitimacy of the rules. But, essentially, that is just background. It can't be our case.

The questions for CAS are:

Did UEFA apply the correct rules?

Did UEFA apply those rules correctly?

It is on the second question where CAS will hopefully search for a hook to hang a successful appeal on. They may be keen to that given the surrounding politics, the risk of UEFA and the sport, once again, falling into disrepute and the fact that it is just wrong.

For that, I suspect it will concentrate on the corporate constitution of our club at the material time and questions of what constitutes "control".
