Why would something like that be seen in mainstream media? It’s not newsworthy. It wouldn’t appear if it was the other way around either. Such things happen many times every day to politicians. Bunch of MAGA supporters cheer Trump but not Biden is not news.

The fact that what energy workers in Pennsylvania think is capable of determining who will become the leader of the western world is newsworthy, because it points out in a stark way just how flawed the US system is.

Very disingenuous to think people shouldn’t vote for what they feel helps them. The system isn’t flawed. The operation of the leaders is flawed.

I’m not claiming that a meet and greet on 9/11 with the firefighters who’s friends and colleagues were murdered was newsworthy as you state but merely pointing out that this is an everyday occurrence of how the news is reported over here!! Follow the money!!

Any system which relies on an “electoral college” is flawed. When it results in a President being elected because of a few votes in one marginal state whilst losing the popular vote by a huge margin it means the people are not getting what they think will help them.

Owners and their editors determine priorities depending on what matters to them. Which is usually money but can be political. This is why I trust and use public service media because their motivation is solely the truth as they perceive it.

For sure there is no single approach so to suggest that the news is reported in only one way makes no sense.
 
There was “no attempt on Trump’s life”!

There was someone discovered with a weapon hiding in bushes 500 metres from where Trump was who enchanged fire with the Secret Service and was apprehended.

What does this tell us?

Firstly, that the Secret Service did their job and the security arrangements worked.

Secondly, that in a country where assault weapons are available to members of the public there is a significant risk of controversial figures being targeted by those who disagree with them.

Thirdly, that Trump, being the controversial and divisive figure he is, is bound, in the climate he has largely created himself, to be a prime target.

It has nothing to do with “lefties”. It’s only to do with gun culture and division.
 
Like the Hungarian president has said. It's clear Trump's life is in danger.

Biden - harris and those pesky Democrats are to blame. They have radicalised people with their choice of words and the closer we get the election the more serious and dangerous it becomes for trump.

Anyone who seriously believes this to be true isn’t living in the real world.

They are living in a world comprised entirely of conspiracy theories and the web of lies woven by Donald Trump.

He wants you to believe it’s true. Most of us, who can see and think for ourselves, know it’s not.

So how do you equate this with Reform only having 5 seats with 14% of the vote whilst Labour have 412 with 34%.
No system is really fair and the losers will always moan.
 
Many on the Left will openly cheer if Trump is assassinated, many of the others will silently cheer in their heads, the dwindling few with any moral fibre remaining would perhaps abhor it.

I don’t defend that either and have long argued for PR.

The right deserve their voice to be heard, in direct proportion to their level of support. What we don’t deserve is them, or anyone else, hijacking major parties and imposing their policies on them.
