Palace potentially denied entry to Europa League?

Lyon were fortunate to qualify for the Europa League, Strasbourg only needed to draw at home to Le Havre needed to win to avoid the relegation play off. Strasbourg were in front twice but NINE minutes into injury time they conceded their second penalty of the game to lose and drop into the conference league. Will Strasbourg take legal action if they are denied a Europa league place by Lyon being reinstated? If Strasbourg are 'promoted' presumably Lens who currently have missed out on European competition will take their place in the Conference league. How do Lens view that scenario?
I do not understand the suggestion by some to refuse a place in Europe. On TalkSport they quoted an 84 yeard old Palace fan who just wanted to travel to a European away game for Palace. We may not qualify again for many years, next season may be our best opportunity. If we are in the Europa league there are several very attractive potential opponents for instance Roma and Porto. If we end up in the Conference league, Chelsea won it last season and West Ham a few years ago, it would be an opportunity to go a long way and if we were to win it automatic Europa league qualification.

They haven't done that. They cant do that. Its Textor's money not Lyon's. You cant just pump outsider money into a club to cover overspend. If that was allowed Textor would have just bought the players he wanted to Palace in the first place and covered the shortfall in PSR out of his own pocket.

As I mentioned on page 83, this was a forced sale. 80% of the proceeds from Textors' sale of his Palace shares went directly to Ares Management - (the originator of the €425m loan to Textor for the purchase of Lyon) - as partial repayment on principal of that original Lyon loan. Apparently managers at Ares started having kittens after Lyon's provisional relegation to league 2 late last year. With the €425m loan at 11-16%!!! interest, Ares knew the high risk involved with the Lyon investment. They want their money back sooner than later.

Now, it is obvious that Textor did use his Palace shares as collateral for the loan to buy Lyon. Ares used the French DNCG's demand (11/24), of Lyon putting €100 million towards their debt by the end of last season, to force the cash strapped Textor to fire sale his shares.

An American investment firm with whom we have no relations forces a Palace board room shake up. Not good, not good at all! Association rules need significant work at the FIFA level.
 
Paulo Fonseca's team are expected to resume training on Monday and they are currently unable to make any signings.

The report also adds that several players are growing increasingly concerned over what division the club will be in, with Lyon keen to provide clarity ahead of the new campaign getting underway.

Kang and Michael Gerlinger, who was appointed general manager, have been desperately working on Lyon's case and they were said to visit UEFA authorities on Tuesday.

This was to discuss their participation in the Europa League and the report claims that if the situation is not resolved by July 14, then Lyon's hopes will be over.

Oh dear, that complicates things. I'm an ARES shareholder, so that make me part of Lyon's management team. So as a Palace fan (since 1968) do I have to sell my shares?

Possibly correct but not widely published... at least not yet.

If true and if the appeal is allowed but is left right up to that wire, that means EUFA have to start looking at our position but not till then.

You would hope they have a decision already made in principle...

Perhaps the sale of shares to WJ will have completed by then?
