I honestly don’t care, if it means we’re in Europe, he’ll do for meOkay so it's official, the next question is what is he like as an owner.
I Have heard that he is not liked by the fans of his US team and that he doesn't put his hand in his pocket. Great another rich American owner with short hands and deep pockets.
Hopefully someone will correct me.
Because I can't see how it aligns with the clubs values, but I don't expect everyone to agree with that. As others have said, he was late to joining the Trump camp, and there are probably at least nineteen worse investors currently in the Premier League. Why?

I don't remember there being a vote on club values.Because I can't see how it aligns with the clubs values, but I don't expect everyone to agree with that. Ultimately, we all hope that he offers financial support without too much meddling. We seem to finally have things aligned and it would be gutting to see it derailed.
The post I was originally responding to was concerned that the HF might raise a voice. Given that last year a banner criticising Textor's involvement as a multi-club was displayed it's not always a bad thing.
He isn't known as left wingThank god for that 😉🤣🤣
Oh dear .He isn't known as left wing
He's often known as right
And when he votes for Donald Trump
He enjoys election night
I'll get my coatOh dear .
Speculation on my part, but it may be that the club was given until the end of June to resolve the ownership issue and it looks as if at least that is happening.
What is unknown is if Johnson will have a greater say than Textor in the running of the club.
The problem of Textor's multi ownership has been removed, but we shall have to see if Johnson's investment comes with strings attached.
As to the morality aspect I would point to the likes of Newcastle, Man City, Man Utd and would think comparatively we come out smelling of roses.
He likes winners that why he has put his money into us .He actually supported others against Trump initially, but as many others do, through his weight behind the victor. So not a true Trumper but anyway, what has his political affiliation got to do with Palace? Weren’t at least 2 of CPFC 2010 Brexiteers
I think the difference is we have Glasner who has won this before and knows what it takes. Yes we need to expand the squad but I'd say three additions to what we have (while replacing any one that leaves) as well as making full use of our promising youngsters in the early rounds of the domestic cups. This is a very real problem, Spurs, last year, West Ham, flirted with relegation when winning the Euro cup and when just competing. Burnley, and Everton I remember being in league trouble until they were knocked out. Even that lot by the sea side suffered quite a bit of disruption during and after their European adventure.
There is plenty of time but Palace really need to fill the squad out , the squad performed pretty well toward the end of last season, so the quality is not bad, but with a few injuries we would struggle to cope in four competitions.
I'm left-leaning and could not give one f*** if Johnson has connections to Trump. Most wealthy people in America doBeing a billionaire is not a guarantee he will be throwing money around. It's an investment, so a degree of caution as to what to expect is common sense. As for his Trump connection, why should we embrace this? It's hardly something we should take pride in.
I doubt Parish (or Blitzer or Harris come to that) would change the structure of the boardroom just to appease a new investor. Johnson would have gone into this deal with his eyes wide open and will be well aware Palace have no interest in becoming part of a MCO model which is why Textor was forced to sell and move on in the first place.Hmmm, we’ve replaced one owner who only complained about having no control with another who might not be so understanding. Whilst I wasn’t at all keen on Textor, I’m not sure this is a leap forward for Palace, although of course we await an understanding of how the new structure will work? Same as before, or same but different?
No we dont. The club has a budget that comes from its income for transfers. This is grown futher by any outgoing transfers (like when Olise was sold last season which enabled the club to add Sarr and Chalobah to what we'd alread purchased).Could be a tricky phone call though.
- Alright, Woody? You know that £200 m you just spent? Well, we need the same again to buy a few players.
How much of that budget was predicated on Guehi leaving? No we dont. The club has a budget that comes from its income for transfers. This is grown futher by any outgoing transfers (like when Olise was sold last season which enabled the club to add Sarr and Chalobah to what we'd alread purchased).
Parish mentioned before the cup final that the club have big plans for supporting Glasner in the transfer market this summer. I imagine any money that the owners were going to be putting in was agreed long ago (if any) and Textor's share of that possible figure will already have been sanctioned by Johnson as part of his deal with Textor.
It works at Spuds. The owners there stay well out of things there and pay Levy (very well) to run it day to day.The Guardian report this morning suggests that Harris and Blitzer want out because of the costs of the new stand so Woody might end up with (be planning to purchase) the whole lot in which case if he's wise keep a very skilled chief executive in Parish running things
