Nice one. He had the full on conko-collapso.Crawley away in friendly
And he missed out on a FA Cup medal, greedy git lolLove it.e specially the stop talking about him in case the Palace fans find out 🤣
I've said all along that selling Andersen and replacing him with Lacroix (at little over half of what we're getting for Andersen) was a great bit of business.
We might not have won the cup with him at the back. LaCroix was a definite upgrade. I always said, great with the ball at his feet, but defensively Andersen was decidedly flakey at times. And he missed out on a FA Cup medal, greedy git lol
I have asserted as such on a few occasions on HOL.We might not have won the cup with him at the back. LaCroix was a definite upgrade. I always said, great with the ball at his feet, but defensively Andersen was decidedly flakey at times.
I think this is the problem and where the criticism comes from, even in the modern era you still need your defenders to actually do some good old fashioned defending and he was left wanting on many occasion in that department. In the modern game of stats I’d love to know how many times LaCroix got his head on the ball in the penalty area last season. Our defending of crosses and set pieces definitely improved with him at the back instead of Andersen that’s for sureI would have loved to see him in a back 3 with Lacroix and Guehi.
Don’t understand the criticism of him. Less bad games than a lot of players and his passing and vision was in the top 10% in the PL for a defender. Only reason I was happy to see him go was the money issue although we never get to hear the full story.
He was slow and getting slower each year, I think Lerma is a better CB than him.I would have loved to see him in a back 3 with Lacroix and Guehi.

To be honest I don’t compare Andersen to Lacroix, they are different types of centre back. I liked Andersen because of his ability to turn defence into attack in a flash and that is not something that Lacroix really has. Guehi has deficiencies in his game, mostly in the air but it doesn’t stop him being a top centre half.I think this is the problem and where the criticism comes from, even in the modern era you still need your defenders to actually do some good old fashioned defending and he was left wanting on many occasion in that department. I do make you right, I know it’s easy to look at an ex-players deficiencies rather than their good points. To be honest I don’t compare Andersen to Lacroix, they are different types of centre back. Was it good business selling Andersen? Yes, at that money.
Given the loadsamoney bigger clubs have paid for garbage in recent years, Sarr was something of a bargain. Like others, I did wonder what Freedman saw in Sarr - now I know!I do make you right, I know it’s easy to look at an ex-players deficiencies rather than their good points.
I think as well, it’s not something we’ve been used to over the years, replacing good players that leave with better as in LaCroix for Andersen. Also although not better, Sarr has been a great replacement for Olise.
Yep odd call from Fulham fan as it was only likely to look good in the short termThey're on the hook for £60m with him. An amazing deal for us and bad one for them. They'll be paying him when he's 33 and nothing like the player they bought, with zero sell on value.
I recall a tweet at the start on the season from a Fulham fan "I think we won the transfer window" it said. That aged about as well as Anderson will.
