Does "hoping" imply that they might not?
Won't somebody please think of the children.Does "hoping" imply that they might not?
There are going to be a lot of arguments on this forum if this rumbles on too much longer. Have they even thought of that?
I'm not allowed toWon't somebody please think of the children.
Great idea Hrolf but apparently Textors value is £300m therefor we need £150m to buy him out.As I understand it, if Textor reduced his share to 24% we would be OK.
We might be OK as it stands, but if not, someone needs to buy the 21%.
Extreme as the point was it was a reasonable point made that the BBC cannot be trusted to get their research correct on a topic that is a thousand times more important and serious than this one.Steady on. This was a sports article and typically BBC only tend to print when more concrete outside of their general opinion pieces or gossip column.
I'm not suggesting that it will necessary or cheap.Great idea Hrolf but apparently Textors value is £300m therefor we need £150m to buy him out.
I believe we will be in Europe legitimately.
Very promising sky release
You see this is where you become an embarrassment to yourself and all those that care about you. Yes I do run a successful business. Have done since 1996.Are you Sarf Norwood reborn, you haven't a clue, have you ever run a business, its the norm of any Administrator to check any changes in the Criteria for any competition that you hope to enter, and if we had done that then all would be sorted, do you and Nello go to the same club?
Firstly why should we believe Sky ? Second why should it take them so long to decide ? The club should take the legal route if they don’t let us play in Europe.Very promising sky release
I agree, having some experience with running my own business 😉, I can tell you with a decent contracts lawyer it would take less than a week to place shares in trust or 'freeze' them. That being the case I dont see why UEFA couldn't move their deadline to a much more realistic date. Say Early April for all top 6 clubs with a high possibility of qualifying for Europe and maybe extending it to early May for clubs like Palace that have no real certainty that they'll even qualify in the first place.UEFA cannot stop multi club ownership.
So what their rules do is pretend it doesn't exist.
Putting shares in a Blind Trust on the previous deadline date of 1st June, now moved to 1st March for some inexplicable reason, is their method of pretence. It's naive in the extreme if they believe that the majority shareholders of any given club that has gone down that route will then cease to have an influence on that club while the shares are in that trust. But it makes the problem go away.
If that original 1st June deadline had been retained, Palace wouldn't have an issue. Moving it to 1st. March made it impossible for Palace to comply with that date ( although some on here think we should just go down the Blind Trust route every season - just in case 🙄).
The rule is a nonsense made worse by a ridiculous deadline.
Just a point hear for those who dont understand (as I know a bit about running a business 😉) It is not possible to sell shares while they are frozen or in trust. Well it is but no one would want to buy them. So why would Textor do that if he is trying to sell? Answer: At a point where we have never won a cup he isn't going to is he?Look, apologies to you if I came across that way. It’s just my frustration coming out as I genuinely can’t see the feasibility in what you are suggesting . So if Parish and Co had “ discussions “ what strategy do you think they could employ ? Force Textor to sell his shares ? - he already wants to. Ask him to put them in a Blind Trust for the season ? Highly unlikely he would agree to that .
I don’t accept your insurance analogy - the Palace issue is far more complex.
A very good point. Putting your shares in a blind trust means you lose all control over them presumably for 1 year. With Textor doing the hokey cokey (in / out) it made no sense for him to do that.Just a point hear for those who dont understand (as I know a bit about running a business 😉) It is not possible to sell shares while they are frozen or in trust. Well it is but no one would want to buy them. So why would Textor do that if he is trying to sell? Answer: At a point where we have never won a cup he isn't going to is he?
Well that is exactly how a blind trust doesn't work.Just a point hear for those who dont understand (as I know a bit about running a business 😉) It is not possible to sell shares while they are frozen or in trust. Well it is but no one would want to buy them. So why would Textor do that if he is trying to sell? Answer: At a point where we have never won a cup he isn't going to is he?
So now we have some flesh on the bones, "Palace now have a window to resolve the issue" so we are in the hands of Textor, if this can be resolved we are In, if not we are out.
Hes probably fully across the ins and outs of whats going on and is planning his European campaign while laying back on the beach drinking his Pina ColadaI wonder how Glasner is viewing the Situation?
So Pina Colada isn't our new Argentinian striker? Damn.Hes probably fully across the ins and outs of whats going on and is planning his European campaign while laying back on the beach drinking his Pina Colada
We probably best not do that 1 million deal plus Édouard for Cherki. Can't wait for us to draw Lyon in the group stage by the way.
Agree on both pointsFirstly why should we believe Sky ? Second why should it take them so long to decide ? The club should take the legal route if they don’t let us play in Europe.
