I imagine we'd all already assumed this was the case though, otherwise Textor wouldn't have been talking about selling his stake?Agree, totally devastating and seemingly, little chance of any European football next season.
The blind trust wasn't ever realistically going to be an option at this point, as the deadline was 2 months ago. There's nothing new to ascertain from this article, and we can only presume Parish and the rest knew this when they popped over to Nyom to discuss alternative possibilities?Crystal Palace’s Europe place in balance after Uefa rejects owners’ blind trust move

And the alternatives are? either convince uefa that Textor has no real significance in decision making (seems like it a losing battle given his 45% stake & a youth player going to Lyon etc) or… we complete a lighting fast buy out of his share before the 17th June when the group stage draw takes placeThe blind trust wasn't ever realistically going to be an option at this point, as the deadline was 2 months ago. We should beware of inaccurate reporting.Crystal Palace’s Europe place in balance after Uefa rejects owners’ blind trust move

The Grauniad is infallible though. We should beware of inaccurate reporting.
There's a lot of it about.
Agreed... As much as that article may make for a depressing read its not actually telling us anything new.We should beware of inaccurate reporting.

I'm scared of dogs, death and memory loss.FiFa & Uefa fill me with dread.
That's an interesting conspiracy. We lost both those games to avoid Europe because we knew we'd b*llocksed up the paperwork? You're on to something there. Dean Henderson was trying to get sent off in the final and accidentally dived in front of a penalty too.The only direct quotes I've seen in relation to the meeting are from Textor.
If Palace supplied the information to satisfy the requirements at the meeting then one assumes it would be a rubber stamping exercise with us confirmed in the draw.
The fact that there's a delay indicates that either the authorities are making more investigations, or Palace are being given a certain amount of time to comply with the necessary requirements to be granted entry.
I admit I'm only speculating, but I have a bad feeling about this.
The thing is before the two 5 goal defeats , Glasner was talking about two routes to Europe- the Cup and possible league placing.
Did nobody at the club see the ownership structure as a problem if we were seriously contemplating a European place?

Palace’s main argument, which is a valid one in my opinion, is that Textor does not have control of the club. The only direct quotes I've seen in relation to the meeting are from Textor.

I hope you're right, but it's not just control, it's also 'significant influence. 'Palace’s main argument, which is a valid one in my opinion, is that Textor does not have control of the club.
There should be evidence of this in the clubs constitutional documents. To include minuted Board meetings .
It’s certainly been in the public domain that Textor has been unhappy that his share holding has not given him the control he desires.
It would explain why the situation has not been addressed albeit it would appear to be too late to go down the Blind Trust route.
My assumption is that the matter is now in the hands of UEFA’s lawyers as they consider Palace’s argument.
I still think we’ll be ok
