Summer Transfers 2025 (rumours and incomings)

Not sure that keeping Matthews (31) is a good way of making progress when we have Joe Whitworth and Owen Goodman, both 21, coming back from loans. At their current age they need to be near the Senior squad if not getting match time. I am thinking of James Trafford (22) who is wanted. Our 21 YOs are likely to be lost if not nurtured.

Another way of looking at it is at least when they are on loan - they are playing regular football and continuing to improve

Being a ‘bench warmer’ does not help with their development.

Why would you keep one of them as a 3rd keeper? Surely better off to see if they can both go up a league respectively (on loan) and them make a call to see if one can fill the no2 spot.

Being a 3rd keeper, (apart from the money) must be a terrible job.

Scott Carson is leaving Man City after 6 years and eight trophies as third choice. He won a major trophy for every 9 minutes he played for them!!

Remi is 3rd choice, he's our Scott Carson. Turner is going after his loan expires so Whitworth or Goodman can fight it out to be our number 2 in pre season. The loser ends up at MK Dons.
