Summer Transfers 2025 (rumours and incomings)

Vardy, is an interesting one. With Europe on the agenda the squad needs filling out preferably with experience in certain areas. He showed this season he still has a fair bit of pace which would suit Palace, if used as cover and an impact sub. He comes free , but only 1 year contract would suit. As form can go haywire very quickly at the age of 37.

These Premiership Players are all Free, anyone fancy anyone;

Fraser Forster, Kyle Walker-Peters, Tom Heaton, Scott Carson,
Daniel Iversen, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Tariq Lamptey.

Daniel Iversen Could be alright as No 2, Lamptey?
Goalkeepers are a master but are these much of an improvement on what we've already got? Lamptey might be an option as wing half where his size wouldn't be as much of a factor. I'd take Walker-Peters but Calvert-Lewin doesn't score that many and we've already got one of those.

To be fair Kevin Phillips did a job for us at 38/39? But why would he want to come to us, regardless of his wife's travails with the high court, cant see he would want to come to us just for the money? I think he will end up with Wrexham.

This sounds about right to me.
Clyne would have got a send off yesterday if he was leaving.
The fact that JRS has only completed one full game for Sheffield United is illustrative.
It's clear that Glasner is not a fan.

I have certainly not heard of any interest in Vardy.
I do not envisage us purchasing a 37yr old in the twilight of his career.
Papers are now full of it.

Let's be honest, he's STILL rapid and he can really finish, he's just too old to last out a whole game

Walker-Peter’s for me
By trade an attacking right-back but has played numerous games for Southampton at left-back.
Certainly fleet of foot and can run with the ball.
At this juncture, both Munoz and Mitchell have the shirt and 'Walker-Peters' might have a desire to join a club where he is likely to be a regular starter.
At Tottenham Mourinho asked him if he could call him 'Walker' or 'Peters' and the player responded with 'Walker-Peters' !

Walker Peters for me would be a 'compromise' solution that wouldn't really solve the issue.
Better then nobody I suppose and he is a clever player running forward with the ball.
However, we really need a left footed LWB who is capable of providing competition to Mitchell, providing width down the left and whipping crosses from wide positions.
Walker Peters is very right footed and often looks like a fish out of water on the left, even if he did create Southampton's goal against us from that position earlier in the season.
We really need a cheaper version of Chilwell.

I concur with these sentiments.

Harrison Burrows of Sheff Utd is a player with these attributes but might not be available if the club are promoted.
A player who provides energy and dynamism, good delivery at set-pieces and from wide areas. He provides a real threat coming forward from the left flank.
Just 23 with nearly 200 games to his name.

He will if he is better than Munoz or Mitchell. Indeed, he will have the challenge wherever he goes of supplanting existing players.

If not, he will have subs and cups and be on standby to replace injured players for a starting berth.

And all at the money he is currently on.
