Villa Grealish would be awesome if he took a huge pay cut and his ego and expectations have been properly contained by his chastening experience at City.Click bait are saying we should sign Grealish, yeah right him and Rashford up front would be awesome. 😕

Back to reality, he will go to the Continent for a huge fee.
100% AGREE - Our transfer policy now IMO is spot onOur team has been built around hard working players who bought into the team culture and weren't stars when we bought them.
The last thing we need now is to buy some big names. So I am not interested in Grealish or Rashford they are not the right fit for Palace and would be better at a club like Spurs or West Ham.
I’m glad you’re not the new sporting directorLacazette has just left Lyon. 19 goals in in 42 appearances last season. 4 goals in the Europa League. Would he be a good player to have off the bench? I imagine he'll be off to a loadsa-money league at age 33, but who knows (I couldn't see if anyone has already agreed a deal with him?)
Sadly, i agreeQuality - yes!
Ego - no!
No, that's Jaime, Eagleman 13, we have already sorted that 😍I’m glad you’re not the new sporting director
He's free, he had a goal every 100 minutes (including in the Europa league). So you think that's a terrible suggestion for competition for JP and Nketiah? I highly doubt he'd be interested in coming to us but currently our squad has very little (if any?) experience of European football, we're going to lose two or possibly three senior players and we probably won't have huge sums to splash on transfer fees. Clearly not a long-term option, but are we likely to qualify again for Europe in the near future? The odds are probably not, so signing one or two experienced pros to try and give it a good go isn't the worse shout. But I'm not the sporting director, I'm just someone killing time on a football forum.I’m glad you’re not the new sporting director
He's a good enough player but he's in the Rashford situation where the clubs who can afford him don't need him. Conceivably Chelsea who'd buy anybody. Or maybe Tottenham if he'd go here. Imagine Villa would take him back now they're having some success. He's free, he had a goal every 100 minutes (including in the Europa league). Russell Martin signed him for £15 Mill from Sporting Lisbon. We're linked with Mateus Fernandes from Southampton.
That would be a 'yes' from me.
A very bright attacking midfield player with quick feet , a good passing range and decent shot.
He’s old, expensive, and against our model so yes he would be a terrible signingHe's free, he had a goal every 100 minutes (including in the Europa league). On which I've seen a post from a reputable newspaper linking us with Vardy. He’s old, expensive, and against our model so yes he would be a terrible signing
We have signed a lot of young players like Esse, Wharton, Franca, Riad, etc., so I wouldn't be surprised at all to see us break that model and sign an older and more experienced player this summer. I highly doubt that player will be Lacazette, but one big reason he might work in our system is that he is well-known to work hard, is physically strong and is incredibly efficient in front of goal. He was in the top 5 scorers in Ligue 1 last season and had a better shot to goals ratio than Dembele. I have no doubt he'd be good enough for us but it would really be about cost. If he came for free on his current deal he'd cost us less than £5m for a season. That's what you'd pay for a loan fee these days. I'm not sure why I'm continuing as he isn't coming to us, but I'm bored! He’s old, expensive, and against our model so yes he would be a terrible signing
