There is no direct evidence on Joe Biden himself, but there is plenty on the Biden family like the documented $millions that have been paid to his son Hunter and brother James from dodgy foreign companies.

Minutes before he left office, he announced issued pre-emptive pardons for members of his family, including his two brothers and his sister.

Why would he do that?

For the obvious and simple reason that the incoming President was Trump.

Someone who has sworn vengeance on all who opposed him. Someone whose vindictiveness is boundless, yet frees those who have committed heinous crimes just because they are supporters.

When you face a President who has no regard for the law and due process then protecting those who might fall foul of him is understandable, if still regrettable.

The Mueller Report was officially titled "Report on the Investigation into Russian Interference in the 2016 Presidential Election".

You have got things muddled up - the report is in two volumes. You solely quoted from volume 2 regarding obstruction of justice.

Volume I: Russian Interference and Coordination

The special counsel found that Russia did interfere with the election, but “did not find that the Trump campaign, or anyone associated with it, conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in these efforts, despite multiple efforts from Russian-affiliated individuals to assist the Trump campaign.”

Volume II: Obstruction of Justice

The Mueller report laid out facts on both sides but did not reach a conclusion. Barr’s letter said that “the Special Counsel states that ‘while this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him.’”

I understand this. Mueller was stymied by Trump’s refusal to answer questions, hence his inability to make the connections that others had discovered. Why did he refuse to answer questions? Those with nothing to hide have nothing to fear. I doubt Trump rang up his mate Vlad and requested help. I do though think they have reached an understanding that they will work together, something recent behaviour tends to support. Others working on his behalf would have ensured he maintained legal plausible deniability.

You may want to keep the two stands of the investigation separate, as Trump does, but they are intrinsically bound together. Trump did obstruct justice, he only escaped prosecution because of Barr’s intervention and him ruling that a sitting President cannot be prosecuted. Obstructing justice in these circumstances being every bit as serious as what was obstructed.

The point of this though ultimately being that to claim that the accusations that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia during the 2016 campaign was a “hoax” is demonstrably wrong. The Russians did interfere. Some of Trump’s team were prosecuted and convicted. That they managed to obscurate and delay is just par for Trump’s usual tactics.

One day the whole truth will be known but hoax it wasn’t.

Perhaps because they behaved as such committees should, being composed of those from both parties working together to find answers. Not composed of sycophants following an agenda mapped out for them by a President they are scared of.

I know what it says. Mueller was very careful with his words. It was when he allowed people to read between the lines that the light shone through. He did that under questioning.

The fact that he did not find anything does not mean it didn’t exist. That’s why the obstruction of justice accusation is so important. Only being spared prosecution over that because of Barr’s ruling is all the evidence that’s required. You don’t refuse to be questioned unless you are fearful that your answers will incriminate you. Trump played the plausible deniability card for all its worth, as he always does.

You can choose not to regard that as evidence and believe the unbelievable. I don’t. Circumstantial evidence might not be enough for a legal conviction but it convinces me.

Mueller’s evidence still exists. Hopefully secured away from the reach of Kash Patel and Pam Bondi, otherwise it might disappear. When sanity returns to the White House I hope to see it published.
