I have given plenty about both my academic background, my career and my business interests. But it’s still belittled.

And my background is in economics. That is literally using past data and trends to try and predict the future! It’s exactly the same as weather forecasting, it’s impossible to be 100% right as there are so many variables and uncontrollables.

And if I’m a troll, what do the posters that snipe (putting it politely) at Wisbech on a daily basis do?

So the next time Trump mentions tarrifs on another country you can use that background in economics of yours to see previous trends that it will only be temporary and that markets will rebound.

We live and learn I guess.

First off, I forgot to say, I'm Jesus!

I was totally unaware of you academic background or your career – only that you are a partner at a company somewhere.

Looking at your recent posts, there is no economic insight or analysis from you at all and others can decide if it's actually you that does the sniping – Search results

I'm all for a bit of banter and want people to (respectfully) disagree with each other. But some thoughtful (non partisan) posts on economic policies would be interesting if that's your area of expertise.

I have posted lots on Trump’s economic approach and provided evidence with data and opinions of economists (of which the large majority are on my side of the argument) but all I get is derision and belittlement from some quarters, or abuse from those who think they understand something and don’t/blinded by their loyalty to their demagogue.

Anyone in the centre or the left gets the exact same treatment from the same cabal of posters on here. It’s why you’ve lost dozens of regular, decent posters on here over the years. I’ve also had people in my DMs supporting me.

Debt did balloon under Biden, but comparatively they are in better shape than the UK on most metrics.

Yeah, we're fecked.

Maybe some Brexit deals can help but our problems are more than economic.

Can't even blame Starmer that much economically....he's just the icing on the cake.

Corny was on here supporting the Police response to the rape gangs for years and only shifted a tiny amount once official reports heavily criticised the Police.....and even then didn't admit fault with excuse after excuse that even the Police didn't use.

Disgusting....but hey he has progressive fans on here.....Well, it's progressives who enabled those rape gangs to slip under the radar for years by shouting racist everytime concerns were raised. Slime the lot of them and personally I'm still awaiting accountability and justice for those involved.

He supported Biden's corruption, dismissed Biden's daughter's diary detailing troubling sexualisation in the Biden household....stating inappropriate behaviour. Dismissed Hunter's diary and the censorship of it and lies told by Democrats and ex intelligence all justified one this weird 'everything is justified' obsession against Trump.....yeah, look how well that kind of behaviour worked out.

He spread misinformation on the Russia hoax on here for years saying Trump was guilty and then had nothing but excuses and denial when it blew up in his face. He did this all while calling others conspiracy theorists by the way. He pushed the misinformation that the Trump assassination attempt was misleading people by pushing blue anon claims that glass had cut Trump's ear. .

He wished for state intervention on people not taking vaccines, and supported the state's impositions on civil liberties and....well practically everything they did and said, supporting the media censorship and silencing of experts who disagreed. Oh and he lied about being conservative on here for years....this and many other things.

But apparently if you deride that troll you're a bully.

I've been on Hol since 2009, at that time the place was more left wing than right, in fact it remained that way until the Gusset exit....back when everyone and their dog was a Nazi according to him. This site was just as 'insulting' back then as it is now. People have left many times during that period and often made a bit of a deal about it.....in fact some flounce drama was quite enjoyable, if understandably sometimes stressful for involved mods.

This idea that back when this was a more left wing site it was better for it is risible. People should try having a look in at the bbs if they want to know what a site run by progressives looks like. If someone is left wing and doesn't like the balance on the Hol then they have other options......that can't really be said the other way.

No one made the Hol right wing, that was the choice of those who upped and left and tipped the balance.
