Cup Final Ticket Phases

Sorry not great but gives a rough idea

Plenty of desirable seats still available. But with 20+k more queuing tomorrow I'll need all the luck. Is there any way to help yourself to get in front of the queue. Like logging earlier or using specific device/browser? 😊

If they've been that much they will have well over 8500 points, if not then they need to up their game
Its this comment that is most offensive and wrong to longstanding Palace fans like me. Because support from pre 2010 didnt come with loyalty points so you cant say that.

If there is a way of doing that, and if someone posts on here how to do it, your question would be rather pointless because everybody else would be doing it!

It's a fact, if there's anyone who hasn't been going to games since 2010 they should in no world be getting a ticket ahead of anyone that has.
Thats just your opinion and laughable. Again you havent read my post I have been attending 7-10 games the last ten years on average about 10 games a season for 47 years, some with a season ticket I dont keep an exact record. Palace has existed for more than the last 15 years, are you aware of that? Some of us are older than 15 years old.

Honestly mate, shut it now. You're boring and need to get a life.

I don't mind sharing it within few hundreds on here 😄
Anyway I'm happy to be there on 17th
Whatever will be will be

You have no idea what you are talking about, loyalty points are a relatively new innovation, and don't go back very far .
They've been around since 2010. More than long enough to build them up as many loyal fans have, for people who haven't watched palace enough in the last 15, unfortunate but those who've been more in those years deserve it over any that haven't.

Whatever the rights and wrongs of their decisions, the club have set the parameters for ticket allocation and no amount of bickering and swearing on here is going to change anyone's eligibility for one, so please give it a rest for the sake of other posters who want to make genuine enquiries of their fellow fans.

Rubbish.
We are all entitled to have a say.

What utter cobblers.
I've hardly missed a game at Selhurst Park since 1968, went to plenty of away games in the lower divisions in the past.
I don't care what some may say, supporters like me who turn up whatever division Palace are in, deserve to have been in phase one.

This points system has always been a bit of a mystery to me. Me and my Dad have had season tickets since the late 70s every year without a break. I have 7300 points my dad has 7115.....how I got to this I have no clue presumably difference being getting the odd ticket for friends and family.
So still a fair way away from the 8500 points.
I have been moaning for months about (In: Is the club defrauding loyal supporters thread) purchasing season ticket plus and not getting what I paid £50 odd quid for. Well I am not moaning now (For the moment) having my cup final ticket purchased for myself and Dad exactly where we wanted to sit by 10.07 this morning.

Oh yes there would I was at both. Personally I think that the ticket allocation should be done on the Loyalty Points system, Away Season Ticket Holders get Stage 1,followed by Season Ticket Holders that have accumulated points not just by having a Season Ticket but attending Away matches, buying merchandise, spending money on food/drink etc prior to home games......then Gold Members who possibly have only contributed that Membership Fee. That may upset some people but on an attendance basis that is the fairest way.
That's cobblers.

Having worked overseas for some 25 years there was absolutely no value in me having a season ticket during that time, to date I only have about 2,500 points, as you can imagine I am also glad that I went for the season ticket + option, although at the time I only did it to get access to Palace TV (friendlies, U21 games, interviews etc) everything else is an unexpected bonus.

In your example, why wouldn't the gold member just buy a ST?
Season ticket waiting list - Two seasons ago Ticketmaster / hospitality sites hoovered up the ST's as well as soon as they became available - especially if you wanted two seats together.

My own theory is they use some of these to sell on resale sites

Given that the tickets have (for all intents and purposes) completely sold out today it demonstrates what everyone knew - that phase 2 was too big and unnecessarily stressful for a large chunk of the core fan base. By core I mean the ~17,000 Palace tend to get whenever we have fallen back into the Championship.

There should have been a Phase 2 which was:

* Remaining current season ticket holders
* Gold members with at least X points (something like 3000/4000).

Phase 3 would then be

* Remaining Gold members with a purchase history before X.

Surely everyone can agree that a season ticket holder with 8400 points (that's a season ticket every year plus a few away games) being in the same group as a gold member who only ever needs to have bought one ticket in March is totally bizarre.

All the Premier League clubs are going this way - they know season tickets are poor value for the club vs what they can get through casual viewership. You see it at United with the forced cup attendances, at City with the frozen season ticket seats but increased corporate seats etc. etc. Being a Premier League season ticket holder is becoming an ever worse experience. It's an enormous shame that Palace are dipping their toe into that water.
