I wouldn't spend too much time worrying about the fate of rapists, even if they do loosely share your politics - come across a bit weird.

It comes across two tier if those with a certain viewpoint get a longer or harsher sentence than those who have a different one.

Nowadays, you get people angrily reacting to rape verdicts, assuming the rapists shares their political views of course.

Probably because they couldn't be proved beyond reasonable doubt. Doesn't mean the complainants were lying.

I definitely have concerns about whether he got a fair trial. I don't know how it was possible with a jury. I don't have an opinion either way as to whether he was guilty though.
