What’s strange is we are all Palace fans.. we can all see the failings. Someone put up a trepidation post for the season before it started. Why is everyone so meek and don’t realise that if things continue like this, without change, we are going down. Forget about cups, we lost all our special players and bought Brennan and JSL.
Yes NSS! “If things continue like this… we are going down”. What a revelation you are. We know! It’s so bleedin’ obvious you really don’t need to say it. The important question is what’s to be done about it? And the answer is not running around screaming that the sky is falling in. Nor is it to sack Sage in a panic with no idea who could do a better job in the dire circumstances CPFC finds themselves. It may be to look for a better manager to take over or it may be to give Sage more time and support to sort it out. I suspect Parish & co are doing both right now.

Is it only fair to have a poll on Hobbs in Hobbs Out

Why just a poll for Manager ?

Or do we think recruitment has been tops ? & any manager could perform the miracle of playing Prem - x3 cups
With injured players & newbies

I really think Sage is becoming the scapegoat goat in all this & those that actually attribute hide in the shadows

It doesnt help Sage either when players get themselves sent off early in two winnable games. Add to that the injuries, sales and sulking stars Sage has been dealt a s*** sandwich. Maybe he is just unlucky. If he is still here in two weeks he needs 2 wins at Coventry and Hull. After those the fixtures look tough for the following two months. Things will look proper grim if Palace are still in the bottom 3 at the end of November.

Recruitment has been pony.

Timing of the outgoing transfers (where we have less control) has been poor.

Timing of due diligence and lead time on prospective new signings (where we have more control) has been poor.

Hit rate % on getting our main targets seems to have been poor.

Too many of the new signings have not hit the ground running yet (Timber a notable exception).

But I feel it is more than just recruitment and that a new Director of Football would not address deeper issues around the missing physicality and leadership in the first team squad.

Hello, all Crystal Palace fans.

I just wanted to ask you what was the likehood of Pierre Sage being fired in the next days/week. I know the results of the club have been very underwhelming at the start of the season and it looks like a relegation battle and Sage might be a doubt for you in such a hard place in a new league. I am a Lyon fan and we remember him fondly. Our coach, just choose to leave to go back to Portugal and we find ourselve with nothing at the moment with an interim coach. If Sage were to be fired, it would be a serious possibility of him coming back.

So i would like to ask, what is the likehood of him being fired? Have you already started to scout for other coachs? Or will he be given more time to right the ship?

We'd just be guessing. None of us are in the know. My guess: one or two more bad results and gone.

My guess is he will be gone after the Liverpool game..

I wonder of any of our fans have posted a similar message on the Notts Forest fan board ?

On Saturday, I heard some gentleman in jocular mood articulate that Steve Parish has indeed lined-up a manager who looked at the fixtures and blurted out "No way am I joining until the Tottenham and Liverpool games are out of the way" !!!! 😀
I did think that Sage put out a weak team at Foolham because he knows he’s going and he thought “f*** you, you ain’t winning this tournament” he didn’t bank on Foolham being so bad though🤣

Some want Dyche so I looked up his record in the Premier. He avgs just one goal a game for . Concedes 1.5 goals. So at best we score 38 goals a season. But Concede 57 . Don't you really what that .
Also image we score 3 goals in a match in 2 games still have 36 games to score 32 goals . Get your pillows and blankets here for a good sleep at our games
