Eight games in and you're predicting two relegations? And also, I can see us being relegated next year as well. Disgraceful and incompetent from Parish. He carries the can.
I'll have the next lottery numbers of you please!

You're assuming there's a competent manager out there with PL experience who wants to come in. Easy to sack people - not so easy to replace them with the right calibre of person. BTW we haven't spunked 200m in the last 3 windows never mind the last 2.

Absolutely this. Id rather we stayed up but not if it meant chucking the europa league in our one and only attempt at it. We signed a big squad so we can have a real go at it.Not a popular opinion but if we go down it's not the end of the world. Many on here have been through the experience several times and survived. It's obviously not enjoyable getting stuffed every week but at the end of the season we go on, just playing different teams.
The Premier League is all very nice but it isn't meant for clubs like ours and they and the media heaved a sigh of relief when Leicester turned out to be a blip so they could get back to fawning over their favourites.
Just for a season or so it would be quite nice to look at the fixtures and not write off half the games as damage limitation.

Agreed and to be fair we’ve had a lot of injuries and a large turnover of players as well. It’s not so much a criticism of Sage as a comment on where the squad is. Lots of players of seemingly similar ability but very few putting in performances that mean they are first choice in their position.I think that's true. In his defence, the 'best eleven' is to an extent determined by who the opposition is. If you play Arsenal it's (well, probably theoretical anyway) one group and if it's, say, Hull, another.

It's not a foolproof scheme is it? Maybe just acceptance that the PL as the be all and end all is a myth.I wonder how many Burnley fans thought something similar!

Arguably winning games in the other competitions breeds confidence and improves fitness too. Its not like we are trying to do everything with 14 players is it.It's not a foolproof scheme is it? Maybe just acceptance that the PL as the be all and end all is a myth.
It was the bouncebackability and lets face it he’d didn’t need to be a rocket scientist to get them playing wellDowie's team always seemed very well trained and gouged out points by being fitter than the opposition.

So why did they pick Sage? Its the same in big businesses, those making decisions take the safe option to avoid come back. Its why governments and big corpirations employ the same few accountancy firms, the same few construction companies and the same few facilities firms. Smaller or newer firms dont get a look in. No middle-manager gets sacked for appointing KPMG and then their accountants getting f***ed up. Same that there will be less blame on the board if they appoint Dyke, Frank or Howe than if they appoint some rising star in League Two or another foreign manager with no EPL experience.

Also indicates that rocket scientists could run football teams better than most managers could undertake rocket science. It was the bouncebackability and lets face it he’d didn’t need to be a rocket scientist to get them playing well
You dont half talk a load of hysterical bolloxI would say it’s not a conspiracy theory. He is just incompetent. We all knew we were going to struggle this season. Our collective intelligence isn’t high but appears to be higher than Parish and the board.

And for a multi multi multi millionaire as well 🤔You dont half talk a load of hysterical bollox
...Or three, Parish wants to give him more time. I'm not saying me, I'm saying Parish. Tbf he stuck with Glasner when everyone wanted him gone. Twice. The fact he hasn’t been points to one of two things. One, we are waiting for the international break so a new manager has some time. Two, we’ve identified replacements but they don’t want the job. If it is the latter we are truly screwed.
