The commission only propose and adjust laws on request, they don't implement them, they basically just do the paperwork. It's the ELECTED parliament that choose.

Farage used you as an MEP, he only wanted UK Parliament and power, he would've done us more good actually driving policy changes inside the block. He was lucky to be there thanks to the s*** open system the UK used to elect MEPs, where about 20% turnout got him in, the electorate aren't interested in EU elections. It should've been PR based on domestic results and that would represent the people.

It's not as you describe it at all. The Commission propose and frame all laws. The EU Parliament and its elected 'representatives' have no power whatsoever to propose or frame EU laws.

I didn't give you their mission statement. I said that they DO NOT enact laws, they don't have that power and it's a BIG FAT LIE to claim that they do. They draw up laws to shape the EU based on the desires of the EU.

The European Commission possesses the exclusive monopoly to draft and propose new European laws and legislative acts, which are then submitted for debate and adoption to the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union. While it originates bills independently based on strategic priorities, it may also be requested to draft legislation by the European Parliament, the Council of the European Union, or via public petitions through the European Citizens' Initiative


Technically, YOU could ask them to draft a law. That is your right.

You could ask them, but they have no obligation whatsoever to listen or act as the EU Parliament wants.
Who knows why they propose and frame EU laws? Their meetings and deliberations are not in public and open to scrutiny as a parliament's are.
The undeniable fact remains that EU citizens cannot elect the people that make the laws that govern them, the EU is fundamentally undemocratic.
The EU Parliament has about as much power as the Supreme People's Assembly in North Korea.

I agree with this. Even the supreme leader Ursula von de leyen was not elected by European citizens.
