Yes, he's an average blocker type but not really commanding. He tends to react after the play / incident rather than anticipating it, something Guehi was good at. He's also really slow.

He is by some distance our best player in this game. Both defensively and in making anything happen

Yes it has been a shambles in every game so far. Pre season was awful and it’s not getting better. If Fulham had any sort of composure they would have scored five and Boro (playing their second team) should have been out of sight before we scored. What worries me is there is no sign anything is improving. It’s like watching under 8s football with everyone just charging around aimlessly

Wharton has been pony and I don’t know what’s happened to Richards but he is so slow and ponderous. Very worrying

Whartons strength is taking a pass from the defence on the half turn and playing instant line breaking balls into the strikers .

A) we dont have any defenders passing to him when he wants it as Guehi or to a lesser degree Lacriox did ,even Canvot can make those passes and
B) We dont have any strikers making runs ,or any width without Sarr .

And we wonder why he is having a poor game
