When Wirtz scored a clearly offside goal last year there was a lot of talk about the 5 cm tolerance the PL grant which hasn't been mentioned much since. Maybe it's a Liverpool amendment.

There's an easy solution. Let the linesman flag for offside and sometimes they'll be wrong. It was that was for a very long time and nothing modern has particularly improved it.

VAR appeared to have guessed as photos dio not show contact with the hand, but movement of the shirt what does that mean.

VAR also ignored the self defence aspect but apparently Harry Maguire being hit by the ball is more dangerous than Tonali kicking your head off.

I actually think that the ball does hit his wrists but I also think it isn’t conclusive enough and obvious enough for VAR to get involved.

What a shame though, not!!
