I agree with you , but I’m reflecting the modern game where every player has his price.
If Liverpool come up with the money, Sarr will leave.
If Chelsea sell Fernandez, panic about the need for another midfielder, it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that they put an offer in for Wharton which Palace will feel they can’t turn down.
I doubt that many Palace fans like it, other than those who seem to derive as much pleasure on ‘turning a profit’ as getting 3 points on a Saturday.
It seems bizarre to me , but each to their own.
I want to see the best possible players representing Palace, while recognising that at times players move on.
We’ve lost 4 key players in Guehi,Lacroix, Eze and Munoz (if he goes) in one year and the thought of Henderson and/or Sarr joining them ( if it happens) fills me with dread.
