Palace Summer 2026 transfers?

With all the excitement of recent days of incomings, now for the bad news,

There may be nothing in it, but if the Bezos investment in Liverpool is true, then the bidding starts at £100 million.
That low? 😀

As opposed to indirect contact ?

The CB one is an interesting one. A week or so ago I assumed we'd be getting another on in. But now I'm not sure if we need to.

We've got Canvot, Riad and Richards established, and lost Max.

Have brought in Mingueza and Tomiyasu and also have Lerma who can do a job there.

Mingueza and Tomiyasu can both play RB, but surely they wouldn't play over Munoz, and if Khalaili comes in, he's a Munoz replacement.....

So for CB we have Canvot, Riad and Richards, Mingueza, Tomiyasu and Lerma.

There are obviously questions about Tomiyasu's fitness, but on paper he's probabely the best of the bunch.

I'm not sure we need another one....maybe one of Chelsea's just in case?
of the 6 CB options only Richards looks a natural in the centre of 3.

I'll doubt we want to go into Sept with this scenario.

My theory (and it's only that) is that with our limited resources we have made Chelsea a loan offer for Disasi, but they would rather sell.

I think we've left it on the table and suspect this may be revisited before the end of the transfer window.

Maybe a loan with an obligation to buy if he plays x games might be a sensible compromise.

Worse case we have 2 or 3 league games with the players you have mentioned

I know it wont please many on here. But I think this is a realistic and semi-sensible scenario.

We have c.6 CB's another one would be nice, but not mandatory, at least not for game 1/2. Chelsea's resolve will likely soften as the window closes.

There is a balance to be struck between being prepared vs overpaying and panicking.

Wharton is a joy to watch, one of the few players worth the admission fee alone, a bit like Wilf, AWB & Olise.

It would seriously brass me off if he moved this Summer. I am resigned to him leaving at some point but hoped to get one more season of him at Palace.
I with you on this Phil - love watching him move and look around to see what he'll do when the ball comes and then go and do it. Don't get to see that fully on the tele - you have to be at the match.

Not so much about Palace, but about value in the market.
I'm watching PSG v Villa and Villa have a 17 year old 6'4''' striker called Majdo who they apparently bought for just £12 million.
Looks a real handful with loads of pace and power.
He could have had a hat trick against a very accomplished PSG team.
