Gone to Fulham for £30m, which is in Palace's spending range. It will be interesting to see how he gets on.

It's my main concern.
I think the lad has a bright future, but 30m is a pretty hefty tag

Everything costs more these days... In recent times Palace have forked out large sums for the likes of Nketiah, Franca, Strand Larsen, and Johnson, none of whom have thus far merited the outlay, the Johnson signing and quick departure being the most egregious.
Yes, but at least with Nketiah, JSL and Johnson, all have played and scored in the EPL.
The CB one is an interesting one. A week or so ago I assumed we'd be getting another on in. But now I'm not sure if we need to.
We've got Canvot, Riad and Richards established, and lost Max.
Have brought in Mingueza and Tomiyasu and also have Lerma who can do a job there.
Mingueza and Tomiyasu can both play RB, but surely they wouldn't play over Munoz, and if Khalaili comes in, he's a Munoz replacement.....
So for CB we have Canvot, Riad and Richards, Mingueza, Tomiyasu and Lerma.
There are obviously questions about Tomiyasu's fitness, but on paper he's probabely the best of the bunch.
I'm not sure we need another one....maybe one of Chelsea's just in case?

I think we need an experienced CB, especially with potentially 50-60+ games this season. Tomiyasu and Riad have had injuries and if we were to lose anyone, we will be in trouble! We cant have replaced Max & Marc with free's surely...

I've just posted the following re Tomiyasu and CB needs on the Gozo thread (the thread had gone a bit off topic).
"That's his preferred position which he plays for Japan and played on the continent. However, given his injury record, I doubt he'll be a regular starter this season, certainly not this side of Christmas. I expect him to get some starts but I would also expect the club to manage his minutes carefully. If he's still up and running come the New Year, we might get to see him starting more games but he's not a Lacroix replacement, and, in any case, I think he prefers being one of the side CBs rather than the central one in a 3 man back line. There's no question in my mind that he's good enough to play RCB or LCB."
I know the point you are making, but why not?
Transfermarket have him Mingueza down as a £18m value, we just hapend to get him out of contract.
Mingueza played 47 games for Celta last season. He's not coming to sit on the bench.

But it's not yet clear where he'll play. If Munoz goes he could be the replacement but if Khalaili comes that role might fall to him as the player with more attacking ability and Mingueza might then be a CB starter option. Looking at our current squad, though, Richards seems the more likely to occupy the Lacroix slot.
