World cup 2026

It makes the entire thing a farce. Sometimes I think it's impossible to be more disgusted with FIFA than I am already, and then this comes along.

I’ve been to Vegas a few times, although the last time was about ten years ago now.

One place I went back to was the Mob Museum. I’d visited it on my first trip as well, It’s basically the history of organised crime and corruption.

They’d added a new section for FIFA and Sepp Blatter. This regime makes you pine for him.

Fee for this this, Fee for that.

Wasn't going to watch but dogs woke me for a pee lol , Wish they had waited another hour , found out they had put the match back a hour ,

Now the good bit what a game , I now believe we can win this was 50/50 before hand , but ref made mistakes in trying to keep the game going , then blows up for saka looking at the player , which lead to there first goal , then saka gets studs in his ankle and give mexico a throw in , its a foul and yellow at least ,

But the team when down to 10 was awesome , as a defender that was a perfect display of they shall not pass , heart was pounding and my hand was shaking the last 11 mins , wasn't going down the pub today but think I will now lol 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏆🏆

I wish I had stayed up now but 2am is too much for me these days.

So only seen the BBC highlights but the first thing to say is "who are you and what have you done with the real England team?". I hadn't realised Germany produced so many lookalikes. A master plan by Tuchell, Okay Smit you are now called Bellingham.

The guy in goal for us was outstanding much better than Pickford.

As for our sending off I am not bothered I know FIFA will suspend the red card as there is a precedent for that and they wont want to be accused of double standards. 😀

Norway up next, without Haaland they are nothing special just a typical hard working Scandinavian side. Stop Haaland and we win.

C'mon Germany err I mean England.

🙂

A fantastic victory in the cauldron of the 'Azteca' and with 10 men to boot.
Jolly well done to all the heroes.
I did not watch the game, I was in my bosom of slumber.
We will of course all be looking forward to the Norway game on Saturday.
:england::england:👍👍

Good Morning

Dont know what Tuchel was doing bringing on all those defenders and sitting deep for the last 20 , we may have had Roy in charge .
But we got away with it , just . Confidence will be sky high after that but Norway will present some different problems as in they have one of the best centre forwards in the world not one that's just re-signed for Wolverhampton Wanderers .

Overall though in the light of day ,well it was light when I turned in but you know what I mean , we march on into the final week of the World cup with a little more hope than we had at 2am this morning .

I might get the flags out

Watched it at 6 am when I got up, without knowing the result. What a great game, one of the best I've ever seen and I'm pretty old - not so much for the quality, but for the drama.

I feel like I have a hangover after 5 hours of interrupted sleep but it was a great game.

Yes the red card farce with Balogun just highlights the corruption. Many hoped things would change when Blatter went. How's the Who song go "in with the new boss, same as the old boss"

There wasn't overall optimism leading up to the Mexico encounter.
As a result of this epic victory I suspect that in the main positivity has replaced negativity in relation to the Norway game. One hopes that we do not get deflated like a pouffe without its wadding.

It's also coincidental that Ronaldo's three match suspension before the competition was reduced to one after he was a guest at the White House.
