Main Stand redevelopment thread

Given all the paper talk that we sacked the previous main contractor, and the absence of anything to say we have a replacement on board, it might be that the demolition and site clearance takes place but that we do not then see the emergence of the structure of the stand immediately afterwards.

Of course, it would be great if the phases all flowed one into the other seamlessly, and perhaps exactly that is all in hand, but there is an obvious distinction between the phases.

As long as we cash in on the gaps between.

£3.50 per family member to come and see a pile of rubble. £4.50 if you want VIP access (unlimited photos of your kids stood on a dangerous stack of broken bricks). Loyalty points for the latter.

You're wasted in whatever you do for work, there's a new calling for you out there 😉

Don't ruin it. 🙂

Indeed. souvenir broken bits of rubble, £10 a bag.
(this also saves hugely on waste disposal) 😀

So parish didnt have a 25% share , parish didnt get the other 3 involved , SJ never lies , SJ brought selhurst park of uncle Ron , if our owners wanted out they would have gone by now , and the list goes on , so Simon whats your reply

Your waffling about nonsense.

He had 25% so what the other 3 had the same all of them was Palace fans. (Palace fans had even put in money which SP refused)

If SJ is lying about it why didn't SP or anyone else come out say it or take legal action that is how things work in real world and even to this day SP wont front up to SJ because he is afraid he might call him out on things.

Did SJ mislead people yes and the ground was purchased from Uncle Ron so that was not a lie just not as straight forward as it was made out to be.

Yes it's so easy to just leave as an owner Tex had to take a big hit to get out quick and was only able to do so because of other people connections making the deal happen.

Please join the real world.

Don't lap up Jordan's narrative, he is a compulsive liar.

Provide the evidence of this.

When he stated, in front of TV cameras, that he'd reunited club with ground when he'd actually done nothing of the sort, instead saddling the club with commitments it had no hope of meeting. My respect for him evaporated the moment the truth came out.

Jordan is a mouthy blowhard, a spiv who got lucky with mobile phones. As Gordon Gecko said, a fool and his money are lucky to have got together in the first place. A sad, bitter man who deserves no sympathy and merits no credence.

Did you see the creditors list produced by the administrator? The number of small local businesses that hadn't been paid including St Johns Ambulance

Que? Wet Spam have crowds averaging 60K ours is 25K
That gives them far bigger income than us, competence in the transfer market and how the club is run is a different thing
With that income they will buy their way out of the Championship. They don't have the global appeal of the "Big 6" so will always struggle at that level but are way bigger than us
Our crowd and income puts us mid Championship, we are an over performing championship club and that is entirely down to Parish and his managerial skills at that level
Getting a bigger ground will push us up the greasy pole a bit maybe our place will be bottom half of the Prem
The next level is the new stand, and having a greater income
None of the yanks are here for the glory they are here to make money, they are not going to pay for anything without a return. If Goldman Sachs are ready to lend us £XXXmil it's because we have billionaire owners.
Disagree, if we had a stadium capacity the same as West Hams we would equal their attendances. By the way West Ham are NOT sold out every week. They nearly always have a couple of thoudsand tickets available regardless of who they are playing. Their attendances are likely to be much lower still in the Championship and as for 'buying their way out of the Championship' maybe you can explain how they can do that AND raise the £180m needed to pay off debts and stay afloat? Because thats what they need to raise in player sales this summer.
Trust me, unless their youth team is way better than anyone realised they'll not be leaving the Championship any time soon.

He drew up plans for Crystal Palace National Sports Centre originally way back, and seemed to think it was feasible at the time.

Anything can be done with enough will and investment behind it.
Crystal Palace Park is a convergence point of Bromley, Croydon, Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham councils. To get permission to do anything up there requires all 5 of those authorities to agree, plus the LDA, plus all the NIMBYs that dont want a football club and will never agree to one.
Parish said a little while ago that his biggest regret over CPP was building up people's hopes that there was any chance it could happen in the first place.
Never happening

You forgot TFL as well. Khan will want to wet his beak.

Jordan is bitter, because his credit line was called in and Parish outmaneuvered him in gaining ownership of Palace, nothing illegal. Is it in Parish's interest in getting into a public slagging match and legal action with Jordan, it only gives Jordan more oxygen for publicity.

Jordan has a history of misleading people, the acquisition of Palace, he used a stalking horse, remember Jerry Lim, he used Paul Kimsey to purchase Selhurst, which eventually led to his downfall, as the banking crisis left him overstretched.

Jordan big error was trying to go alone, rather than taking in partners.

Yep, he has nothing good to say about the club

He even said winning the conference was a mickey mouse cup, despite it getting us in to europa and earning a few million quid.

He has an agenda with Steve, laugh in his face Steve, i would.
You’re wrong, I listen to white and Jordan most days and despite his dislike of parish he is ALWAYS full of praise for the job SP has done for our club

He's not wrong about the mickey mouse cup, lets be honest, the competition shouldn't even exist.
