Labour Party politics

It’s comedy gold watching the dumbass Remainers obliterate Labour support in the north by trying to make the Labour leadership challenge a fight over a having re-run of the Brexit referendum .

Andy Burnham and Labour already had an uphill battle to win Makersfield now it’s going to be dominated by what Labours stance is on Brexit and rejoining the EU 🥳

Starmer is not guaranteed to stand despite what he said on Friday , That would really upset the apple cart if he officially stands down .
I don't detect a massive interest in over turning Brexit. As Bill Clinton said "It's the economy, stupid".

People are very worried about taxes, jobs and the like, this is the issue Labour should focus on. Re-joining the EU does not necessarily mean these issues would be resolved.

It’s already started

Nigel Farage insists Labour's leadership contenders are 'preparing to completely betray Brexit voters' after the subject was brought to the table over the weekend. Former Health Secretary Wes Streeting declared 'Britain's future lies with Europe' on Saturday (May 16

How many years did it take to complete Brexit ? Three, four ??

So then how long would rejoining take ?

It's entirely possible that this Government won't be in power to see it through....
Weirdly the government knows that and will be through act of Parliament join in a hybrid fashion that is smoother just short of full membership but provides maximum market access, why do your posts have the feel of Moses descending Mount Sinai with two tablets of Stone sadly I have to break it to you other brains are available, the government has thought about a workable Brexit with trade on equal terms for sometime. As for this Government's longevity it could be three years it could be eight or longer.

Sadly I have to break it to you that this Government has a track record of not thinking through the outcomes of their policies. Hence the number of U-turns forced upon them.

Looks like The King of The North is going to have his work cut out in this by election if he’s supportive of rejoining - the Labour Party is in a mess and all of their own making - I don’t expect you to recognise that though

The Leadership challenge without any official challengers so far .
Labour MP’s are scared to put themselves forward first as they know those who wield the knife first never become the Leader .
It’s all rather farcical and embarrassingly long winded by Labour ..

Taxes would have to rise to pay for the £22 billion+ a year we would have to pay to the EU racket.

Obviously you study the great british press it is a bit like telling my boy that Santa Claus doesn't exist, the press have a mantra of make it sharp make it short make and make it up,the government have kept travel prices low on buses and the railways and taken many children out of poverty via extending child allowance and school meals. Education has been improved via school clubs and early drop off facilities whilst at your grand old age you will not enjoy the use of them it is comforting to know that children are in a better country than it was previously. No wonder people are risking life and limb to get to our utopian country. The Tories burnt through several Prime Ministers we are still on our election landslide winning one! I cannot see Andy Burnham losing time will tell no good starting a debate on that.

Starmer could have used his large majority and early authority to make difficult decisions in the national interest that were counter to Labour’s culture. Instead, he immediately played to the socialist gallery, sending gargantuan amounts of money to the unionised professions whilst hiking business taxes to cover the cost.

Labour need to be reminded that their manifesto had nothing in it about rejoining the EU.

Any move to do this without a democratic vote would be a national betrayal.

Left wing authoritarianism.

Unless it was done democratically, as soon as they lost power to a pro Brexit party it would lead to chaos.

We are led by opportunists who only care about their own careers in the moment and not the country......Seemingly a series of Johnsons all the way down.

Obviously you do too.

And just like me you have a choice as to what you believe is reported or otherwise.

So don’t patronise me.

And you come across like one of Starmers speech writers.

That’s not a compliment

It was a nice little trick to play by Streeting to come out Remain just when his main rival was about to fight a by-election in a Leave constituency.

Which underlines the fact that he may be in power but not in control.

It's all unravelling for him now which was inevitable.
