Great news if you like seeing your tax money get washed in the most corrupt country in Europe and never seen again keeping alive an unwinnable war instead of going on much needed areas at home.

The news articles on Ukraine and Zelensky were very very different before the war.

After the war, it's like those articles never happened.

So so dishonest.....Zelensky is corrupt as feck.....very questionable appearance in the Pandora Papers (2021).

The only thing that Zelensky gets a pass on is the fact that both Ukraine and Russia are corrupt and that he's no different....and since the war has had to be clean, at least financially, even if those he employs aren't....As seen in his attempts to bring corruption units under his control.

Both countries make corruption in northern European countries look like rookie numbers.....This is Slav politics.

The western media, under pressure to produce goodies and baddies narratives by governmental security and intelligence agencies, doesn't try to say the obvious points about all this.

The main reason the Ukraine war hasn't ended yet is because when it does the money tap to Ukraine gets turned off.....at least under current levels.....and Ukraine can't survive without large transfers of money every year.....which we have been lumbered with.....because of virtue signalers, who I wouldn't trust to successfully run a piggy bank.

But hey, Putin bad....because apparently that's all that matters.

When I looked into how the Ukraine/Russia war came about my conclusion is that US state department policy has more blame than anything else. They led Ukraine down the garden path to destruction.

Wars are economic disasters.....Unless they are existential in nature we should stay the feck out. The war is existential for Ukraine and Russia.

Time Magazine .....man of the Year. The biggest monster in History, bar none. His murder statistics are at least double or triple that of the Nazi's. 'The Media' have been corrupt and sucking on the money-t1t since at least the invention of the Printing Press.

And even today, my Sky Box is hopping with constant documentaries about the Third Reich and almost nothing about the genocides of Stalin, Mao, Fidel Castro.

Zelensky.......seems to often be portrayed as 'a man of the people' or a humble hero or a victim........none of which i believe. And clearly Trump also sees through all the propaganda.

Russia has been an issue for this country since at least as far back as the Great Game when Russian expansion policies in central Asia clashed with British Imperial aspirations north of the Pass.

It should be stressed that Russia has always been "peace loving" in the sense that it wants to seize every country on it's border to act as buffers to protect it from the Mongols Japan China Germany NATO or whoever. It has never sought to conquer the UK (except in USSR days when it craved our joining the International) and has no interest in us save trade or countering steps to disrupt what they see as us getting in their way.

For the UK we have a choice. Keep well out of Russia's way. Or continue to disrupt Russia's sabre rattling on the east and it's possible knock on impact on European security and our trading partners.

We have to be careful in Ukraine. We could be propping up a corrupt regime like South Vietnam. Meanwhile, we fight Russia and test our metal through proxy while continuing to trade £billions through the City in the face of surface level sanctions.

It's all a bit murky.

I think this media love in stemmed from two things.

The media has always been pink but back then it was sometimes scarlet red.

Allying with the Soviets was always Faustian and required a great deal of selling to western people who had hitherto been properly told the politburo were c***s.

This war benefits nobody in the region, just hedge funds buying up the cheap quality arable land in the west and (still) eyeing enviously the very valuable minerals in the industrial east. The results of the last legitimate elections in 2010 and 2013 prior to the coup prove how divided the Ukraine is, with Eastern Ukraine leaning strongly East and predominately nationalist Western Ukraine favouring European integration under the western pig tailed puppet stooge.

In my opinion at the very minimum Russia will not stop its military operation until it has liberated these voting areas right up to the Dniepr River plus possibly Odessa so millions exiled abroad can return home safely without fear of nazi attack or worse, forced conscription which is a common fear who those didn't manage to escape.
