The west was at its best when led by example, when it led with integrity, creativity, industriousness and moral courage. Words that mean nothing to you.
It has now lost its moral standing, and as a result it has lost all respect in the world.

It was partly dragged down by globalists and those who denigrate and pollute the best elements of western culture, of which we hear a lot about on this site.
But let's not forget it has also been dragged down by corrupt financiers supported by inadequate tiny-dick wavers who only know the language of "Kill, Kill, Kill". They created lasting resentment that the west will struggle to recover from.

It's fascinating to hear how different people think this war is going.

It can be described in many different ways because what is winning is different depending on the person.

My criteria will be different from others and many people are willing to accept what the media present to them as a balanced appraisal of what's happening. For example, there are claims that losses are being covered up....which in one respect is fine, but not if it gives a faulty view of how successful or 'worth it' something is.

To be fair though....even to the media, I largely haven't been following it because I'm engaged in other stuff and family commitments.

But obviously I think the war was a bad idea for everyone except Israel.....well that's debatable as well.

However, my final opinion....as should anyone's who is interested in truth over ego......will be shaped by the outcomes and that will take time to fully flesh out.

For the UK? Definitely yes. Iran posed no threat to the UK and internal politics in Iran are not our business.

most religions are self-serving and care little about 'Civilisation' or its protection. Edward Gibbon blamed Christianity for the fall of Western Rom.....and he had a valid argument. The Fall of the Soviet Union was also precipitated by a Pope who constantly undermined their atheist leadership.

The Church of medieval Europe cared little for the little people and/or what fecker was King. So long as the king tipped his hat to the self same Church.

Other big World religions ? their number one goal is their own survival and the gaining of new market-share. With or without human-rights and fairness.

Iran is couched as an ideological struggle......when it is little more than a bunfight over Oil, Weapons, and different countries accepting the legitimacy of each other.

The stated aim (mind you a lot is threatened that doesn't happen) is to degrade the military infrastructure and anything they think can help the regime survive to such an extent to encourage an internal takeover.

Landing troops and putting ships anywhere within the range of Iran's launchers and staying there for resupply is going to mean body bags......the US seem to have used up much of their interceptors.

Currently I think the US and Israel will probably just exhaust their ammo and then leave and claim victory.

In truth it's been a bad mistake if that's how it's left and there's no overthrown of the regime. And to be honest after Trump told people help would be on the way a couple of months ago.....and help wasn't and thirty thousand protesters were said to be killed.....I'm not so sure that the activists you need to overthrow are still around in enough numbers.....and when the bombing has left them poorer with civilians inevitably dying, doing what the bombers want you to do....Well, it's probably not realistic.

We will see.

Obviously we aren't hearing what's going on in the war rooms but it's obvious that America's allies aren't keen at all on this war other than defensive actions.

Trump can't really complain about that when he consulted nobody but the Israelis.
