Our special forces were very active in Afghanistan and highly trained to fight in mountainous terrain but unfortunately, the US Forces believed they knew better. We could have taken Bin Laden but the US wanted the glory and he escaped, for a while 😂

Not trying to police the world, just have spoken to many exiled female Iranians, who can tell a few stories about the present regime. Personally I have no issue with them being taken out, however what comes next? Hopefully a non radical Islamist State but who knows

Fair enough, I'm not interested in picking fights with other palace fans btw. Had bad experiences over on the c*nt site with people jumping on and spouting BBC bullshit because they are essentially bullying vacuous arseholes with next to zero experience of the subject matter. I have high hopes that this place will be different despite the ever present left v right division that sadly seems evident here too. Quite why people can't understand that every party can have good and also terrible ideas I'll never understand.

Anyway back to the subject matter of the US(Israel) vs Iran. I have a theory that Trump (I love a deal) made a deal with the Israelis during his first term of office. Its this deal that has kept him alive and got him reelected to replace sleepy Joe fuckwit Biden. And now we are seeing the debt repaid. Is that too crazy a conspiracy theory or does it sound plausible to you? Everyone knows the Dems are/were deeply Russophobic, whereas Trump and the Republicans (Lindsay Graham excepted) are less so. Did the Israelis persuade Trump to back them up to flatten Iran?

I'm not sure what comes after this, it depends if the Iranian B and C teams have also been taken out. And a lot depends on how far Russia and China will move to help them out. Both countries signed long term cooperation deals with Iran recently didn't they.

easyJet just cancelled the wife's flight back from Cyprus tomorrow. Mixed emotions if I'm honest. On one hand it's annoying as I've been painting the f***ing bannister all day after a nightshift, but on the flip side she can't nag me about getting a hair transplant in Bosnia for a bit longer. I'm hopefully flying out for the Larnaca game in 2 weeks anyway.

Anyway, apologies, all this nonsense has 0% to do with Iran.

They really are not stupid enough to do so,Russia is mirred deeply in the Ukraine war which for them is a very draining swamp. China is a mercantile country and needs the West onside ,yes they posture but dare to do no more than that.

The major difference is the personal abuse that you get on the BBS if you are daft enough to disagree with them as it's far worse than any insult that one might receive on here

I just can't see them sitting by and letting Iran get flattened. They both have a lot of leverage, and in interest in not seeing regime change happen. The Hormuz strait issue is massive for China by itself. It's very interesting though isn't it.

That's good to know, they certainly do like attacking the poster rather than the post itself on there. I always ask myself whether I would say the same thing in a face to face meeting as I would in an online discussion/argument. I do have very pro russian views though having been married to one for decades and having dual nationality kids. The phobes will never understand or accept that people outside the West have a valid polar opposite view of things though. It reached the point of being pointless to argue about following the coup in 2014 I think though. That's when the BBC bullshit narrative began I think. Probably even before that if I'm being honest.

It's such an interesting question, I'm guessing they both must be communicating internally and with each other and the other BRIICS countries before announcing a response.

Trump and Netanyahu have really plunged the world into chaos with their actions haven't they.

TBH the left right division is evident but strangely both sides do occasionally meet in the middle. I mean I even agreed with wissie once 😁

I used to play snooker in the con club 😂

Only cos they had the best table! Never once entered my head to take my sock off and put the balls in it just cos I didn't agree with the conversation in there. Pretty sure I can have a good laugh with almost anyone apart from all but the most vacuous BBC spouting russophobe. Hopefully you don't have any of them in here though as they all seem to be on the c*nt site.

I'll still probably stick to the football sections mostly, I just find mysterious places like Iran interesting though. Even more so when they are attacked by the axis of evil.
