My observations, not arguments, are that those protesting are much more concerned about the methods and the scope than they are about the stated aim, of finding and deporting lllegal immigrants who have criminal records or intent.

There is a real concern that ICE has been expanded and turned into a para military federal force whose role will be expanded well beyond that of the expulsion of criminal aliens. There is already evidence that is happening.

Without having to state the obvious, the doubling of ICE agents is purely down to that fact there is no cooperation and universal resistance in inner cities (democrat governed).

As people have stated it is just the "wrong guy" doing the deportation.

Having witnessed firsthand an ICE protest (out of curiosity in Austin) I can concluded that my experiences at the Den in late 70's were merely kids having fun with one another to what I witnessed here.

As in all protests/riots (poll tax, Brixton etc.) it's the hard-core agitators who live in the shadows and innocent, misguided protesters who get hurt.

Hiding behind another far left blog that's been obsessed with trashing anything Trump related since day one I see. They call everything a "lie" without actual proof just like you. So again I'm still waiting for you to provide actual proof not a left wing puff piece. 👍

Provide us all with specific, verifiable examples instead of linking to an echo chamber rant.

As for the ice videos.....they show exactly what's happening that is "peaceful protests" that block ICE operations, harass agents, turn into riots with fires/property damage and even attacks on officers doing their jobs. That's not free speech, that's interference and endangerment. Protests are protected but assaulting federal agents or obstructing law enforcement is not.

As for Trump and his supporters just check fox, cnn, reuters and yougov polls that show his base are happy. Go on have a look let's see how your TDS reads the stats. 👍

So you expect them to be able to be identified. Some or most of these illegals would be gang members. Do you think the agents have no rights to safety for them or their families ? That’s why they wear masks. Didn’t see many comments about the protesters over here being masked up from you. Different situation but same reason; for anonymity.

I have followed, mostly from a distance, the deterioration of democracy in the USA for at least 25 years, with a particular interest in Trump and those who see him as the answer and not part of the problem. On the way I have encountered many people like you. Decent, law abiding folk who seem prepared to forgive, or overlook, behaviour others regard as intolerable, so long as the job they feel is necessary gets done. Basically the ends justify the means.

However, those who feel like that appear to be shrinking as red lines are crossed and the slide to authoritarianism becomes ever more threatening. You don’t appear to have reached that threshold, along with a surprisingly large number of others who still buy into the endless lies and bad behaviour. The question is whether when you do reach that threshold will it be too late? I hope not. Voices are now emerging which are attempting to bridge the divides and restore the values that once really did make America great.

As to your specific points the introduction of a large paramilitary force cannot be justified because of the fact that any city is run by people with different politics to you. That’s for the people there to decide. Their right to protest. Whether “agitated” to do so, or not, they aren’t “misguided “. They are entitled by your constitution. ICE behaving as they have been, with the direct encouragement of the President and his regime, is unconstitutional.

There are the right way to do things and the wrong way too. The end never justifies the means unless democracy doesn’t matter to you.

All you are doing is what Trump and Leavitt constantly do when confronted with questions they cannot answer. Ignore them and question the questioner. It’s been a common tactic of Trump ever since he was first schooled by his mentor Roy Cohn.

There are examples of Leavitt’s lies in that piece, but the evidence is all around her. She is just a lie. She is not a Press Secretary. She is actually the Chief Propagandist. She is the Joseph Goebbels in the court of Donald Trump.

If you think a mob of ICE agents dragging citizens from their vehicles or throwing to the ground and then shooting them, because they are videoing them, is an acceptable way to respond to protests then you are nuts.

Some of his base are like you! So indoctrinated they believe everything they are told. The numbers in the USA are decreasing though as they realise that it’s those at the bottom that are being hurt.

Every law enforcement officer should be capable of being identified. Indeed they should identify themselves to whoever they are either questioning or arresting. Their own safety is another matter completely. Behave correctly and there ought be no problem Ensuring their personal details are not available being different to their official status.

I strongly doubt that most of those being detained are gang members. Some will be, because criminals exist in every community.

I've asked you now 5/6 times for proof that the lovely Karoline leavitt lies and so far nothing. Either step up and provide the proof at the 5th time of asking or pipe down. Linking to that left wing rag doesn't count give me direct quotes, dates, and proof, not echo-chamber opinions.

Ice are out there are out there enforcing the law, protecting the US borders, and dealing with chaos stirred up by radical activists. The videos you're twisting show protesters blocking operations, getting aggressive, and endangering officers. Self defense is necessary when mobs turn violent.

As for Trump, nice try with that Fox poll, but even there, his approval is at 44% with 85% approval among Republicans.

I picked out this quote from the news article: "Approval of Trump’s overall job performance stands at 44%, unchanged since December. He receives 85% approval among all Republicans and 97% among Republicans who identify as MAGA supporters."

Numbers don't lie, but your interpretation sure does. 👍

She says that Trump hasn’t financially benefited from being President. Evidence proves his company took 500 million dollars from a UAE prince before selling highly sensitive AI chips to him. Trump also charges 1 million dollars per person to have dinner with him at Mar a Lago.
