Its an absolute travesty we have not replaced Marc. We have known he was going last year. This is criminal. We now look like we have shipped Mateta out (which im glad about)
What annoys me is we have known he wanted out 10 days ago. Why have we left it this late, with our biggest game of the season less than 2 days away, and kept a manager who clearly doesn't give a crap about what happens to us from now till the end of the season. All the above is down to Parish. For an established premier league team this is really shocking. I just can't put into words what im thinking.
I don’t want Parish out, but as CEO he has to take some responsibility for this season and it doesn’t look as if lessons have been learnt.
Whether you like Glasner or not many of the points he continuously raises are highly relevant.
You can bury your head and say he’s moaning again or you can examine what he’s saying.
We will be going into the important Forest game with 2 goalkeepers and a load of youngsters on the bench and no striker.
Guehi was sold two weeks ago, but still no replacement even on loan, so we’re relying on either a centre back who has been out for more or less a year or a rookie who is clearly not ready.
Lerma would be the other option, but of course we have only one other senior midfield option so he has to play there.
The only just returned Clyne will presumably have to cover both full back positions from the bench in the absence of Devenny and Sosa.
With this in mind why sanction Imray’s loan until after the Forest game?
Why not have JRS on the bench even if me may be on the way move again on Monday?
If you’re down to the bare bones why reduce squad options further?
The two goalkeepers and full bench of youngsters on on the bench is a particular bugbear of mine, and it happened last season too.
Forest’s bench on Sunday is likely to have the likes of Morato, Awonji, Ndoye, Hutchison, McAtee and possibly Wood - many millions worth pounds of senior players.
Sure , it can be argued that Kamada and Nketiah are on their way back and we may add one or two on Monday so the squad could be fuller thereafter.
It never quite works like that though with injuries and suspensions as too often our bench is found wanting.
