If we have Guessand on loan then it makes perfect sense that we don’t buy Larsen. We get to see Guessand to the end of the season and the new manager can decide if he wants him or not.

Mateta can then be sold whenever and his money used to either buy Guessand or another player if he’s not fancied.

Buying Larsen and loaning Guessand makes no sense at all.

Please get an experienced centre half.

It does start to makes sense though if you assume they've accepted mid-table mediocrity in the league and instead are going full send for European cup. In which case, they'll need options to rotate, to keep players fresh.

Our experience with expensive strikers are not that good. Marco G., Aki A. to mention two. 50 mill. for a Norwegian that is not even in the Wolves starting line-up.

It is a massive overpay. No doubt about it.

I don't mind the player it makes sense profile wise, but the money being spent is insane if true. Even if he gets 10 prem goals (he wont) its still a big overpay.

£25-30m tops for me.

My gut feeling is he is not that good and we should walk away. There are got to be better strikers around - Haji Wright springs to mind if Coventry were not to get promoted this season as well the clubs in the Europa league and players who did well at the AFCON.

He is probably benched as he is in the shop window, *Understatement of the year coming up* Wolves are in a spot of bother ,Strand Larsen gets zero service and the goals have dried up. He is still young and is likely to improve over time maybe worth a gamble . Mateta has gone from boom to bust and can no longer be a choice as he doesn't want to play for us.
