Jørgen Strand Larsen

If we have Guessand on loan then it makes perfect sense that we don’t buy Larsen. We get to see Guessand to the end of the season and the new manager can decide if he wants him or not.

Mateta can then be sold whenever and his money used to either buy Guessand or another player if he’s not fancied.

Buying Larsen and loaning Guessand makes no sense at all.

Please get an experienced centre half.
 
Who’s the new transfer guy who has taken over from Dougie? Is he a strong character who commands respect or an arse fly who Parish will like for 2 months and then sack in a year for being a weak nobody?

Florist can't take the pee with the fee if we secure Guessands services first either. Puts us more in the driving seat. Guessands not exactly featuring much for Villa is he. I'd imagine Wolves will be forced to accept Leeds lower offer for Strand Larsen if it plays out like this. Mind you this is Palace so probably none of this will happen and we will end up scrabbling around on Monday for someone else entirely having sold Mateta and Guessand falling through.

Seen him live this season at Sheffield United vs Derby County. Safe to say I wasnt impressed despite Derby winning the game. I would pass.
 
It looks like our hand was forced to pull the plug on JSL as SSN now reporting Forest have cooled their interest in Mateta due to exploring other avenues.

So whilst it was pretty obvious, we were only going to pay that kind of money for JSL if the Mateta deal was done....I wonder if the "new avenue" Forest are exploring is.....Strand Larsen.

Now, that would be funny and with that crazy Greek in charge, I wouldn't rule it out.

If that's the case, hopefully we get the lively young chap loan from Villa as also reported (who we wanted to sign last summer for £20m+) for a mere shilling or two whilst keeping Mr "I should know better" Mateta ....and he will go on to score 15+ goals in the second half of the season and fire us to a top 10 finish and European glory 🏆

Perhaps I should go to bed.
 
Watkins off with a hamstring injury for Villa this evening which may change things. Villa may not let Evan Guessand leave on loan or they may up their interest in Mateta as they look for cover if Watkins injury results in him being out for a lengthy period.

Also the cynic in me think they did this to try and unsettle us before playing them in a key game this Sunday. They probably had no intention of buying JP.
Now if we could stuff them that would nice.

Me too.

I took in the 3:00pm Derby v Portsmouth game on the way up to our evening kick off at Leeds. Agyemang spent most of the game at walking pace and did nothing to merit special attention.
