US Politics

You should all have a drink.

It's soon to be Friday night......and I'll admit, I've already got my feet up and looking at my second JD, coke and ice.
I've had a couple of glasses of red, might hit the scotch later.

Being called a Jew hater.

You should see what I've been called on the forum over the years.

I'm struggling to think of something I've not been accused of.

Some of them weren't even accurate.

To be serious though, if Steely really objected he's say something about it.

If Owen thinks someone hates Jews I think he should be allowed to say it....shouldn't he?

I mean people aren't censored in replying are they? If things get too heated I'm sure mods would calm it down.

I don't really follow the Gaza stuff anymore as I think people have been going around in circles for months....at least I was.

Just everyone stick to what used to be a house rule about being civil to other posters. I've on here for 18 plus years and as mentioned earlier the name calling is worse than I can remember.

Things changed a little in 2016, but that's because society has become more polarised.

I haven't noticed things being bad as a rule but your opinion is just as valid as mine.

It’s wading through the tedious childish abuse that Wisbech gets on every single thread that does it for me. But agree, this place has never been as hostile as it is now and is only getting worse.

I agree.

There is a culture of bullying against Wisbech on here that is personal and never - ending; it's a sort of sport which is spiteful and uncalled for.

Disagree by all means but this is more than that: horrible.

I don't remember you complaining when Nick was calling me a neo nazi on here on the regular? Weren't you yourself constantly questioning whether I was a member of some extremist party?

Is all that fine? But if others on your political side of the fence get being accused of things that's suddenly a bridge too far?

Sounds a bit double standard to me.

Wisbech has expressed extremely controversial views on here and personal views about people himself.

If people take up those positions....for example the very worse such as his grooming gangs and police response stance, they are going to get a lot of pushback.

You present things as one sided and that's not a balanced picture.

Anyways.....there's a new video than has just surfaced that seems to be be from ICE officers perspective.

Yep, I've seen it.

They were harassing law enforcement and then the driver did something very stupid and unfortunately has lost her life.

The left aren't going to win this one.....and they have some cheek after their defence of the murder of Ashley Babbit.....someone who wasn't driving at someone and just walking up stairs.

Most of us are fairly resilient on here. There's always the 'off' switch, or taking a break if you don't appreciate the personal comments. In my opinion they are an unwelcome part of discussion, as they distract from the debate.
But as a whole I enjoy the free speech and differing views. It would be far worse if it were an echo chamber, full of sterile comments.
And for ganging up, it happens. not just to Wisbech, but to a few others. It is a slightly distasteful element, but it's human nature for the most part. I think Wisbech gives as good as he gets, and most interactions with him are usually dolloped with a large spoonful of farce/irony/humour

But back to the topic. I think that politics is going to heavily influence the outcome of an investigation. I think all the information out there is certainly subject to influence and interpretation at the moment. The key witness being dead, gives an opportunity for different parties to fill in the gaps,...probably with bias.

Where they’re smiling and having a calm exchange and then he shoots her in the head as she goes to drive off and then calls her a ‘f*cking b*tch’?

How do you think this justifies his actions?

Extremely warped if that is your bar for someone deserving to be shot in the head.

How do you get to that point of what I am thinking?

All I said was "there's a new video than has just surfaced that seems to be be from ICE officers perspective."

My view of what happened is balanced I believe and have already shared it in previous posts.

You’ve been desperately trying (and failing) to find an angle to vindicate it since it happened, rather than just calling it what the vast majority of people, and all right minded people know it is - extra judicial murder.

This seems to show whoever is wearing the bodycam being hit by the car

It appears likely.

She's also told to exit the car and that's when she drives off.....So attempting to evad law enforcement.

It's a tragedy but I don't see the left winning this one.

Again, if there's any organisation telling them to do this stuff it should be looked into.

Have I? I think I have been balanced in my views that I shared on this. You may go back over the pages to find them if you wish.

The left will shout cover up and injustice and claim a " victory ".

If there is a larger force at play then that needs to be looked at.

In simple terms there appears to be an organised group of left wingers in Minnesota who are prepared to ignore laws they don't like to project their narrative. i.e interfere with, obstruct and fail to follow lawful instructions from law enforcement.

All very sad, no winners here.
