US Politics

What is nonsense is that you think any of this 'liberal rules based order' exists in the real world.

Also your attitude during Covid and what you thought should happen to people like me shows that you're an utter hypocrite who actually supports authoritarianism .....if it's against your perceived enemies.

You are much more Trump like than you like to admit.

The left are going to reap what they sowed and personally I view it as 'every action has an equal opposite reaction'.....Your support for the unprecedented actions against Trump from 2020 mean that this kind of future is inevitable.

I've been thinking this for a while now. He also weaves a tale or two just like but not as good as Trump.

It’s not a “liberal” set of rules! It’s just a sensible working arrangement designed to ensure world trade works without violence. One that has stood the test of time and avoided countless disputes which otherwise might have been settled by guns. Only authoritarian regimes like China and Russia object. That Trump, and you do too, says all that needs to be said.

That you think my attitude during a pandemic has some weird connection just shows the working of a warped mind. All normal conventions are suspended then, just as they are during during a war or any crisis. It’s then incumbent on everyone to pull together and stop thinking only of themselves. The time for reflection and disagreement comes later. As it is now.

It's relatively quiet over Venezuela now so I think you're right whatever the op was it's likely over already & the videos we saw of the Chinooks were US forces exfiltrating.

To your other post, the CIA amongst others have been operating in Venezuela for a while, maybe they have some puppet government lined up already.
We've seen this kind of action before in Mogadishu & that ended up a disaster.

Cuba & Iran are next though.

Roughly 6 weeks ago, the US got info Maduro was on an internal flight & actually hacked the headset of the captain & offered him $50m if he'd change course & land in Puerto Rico where Maduro would be arrested, the captain turned down the offer but a wild story all the same.

Huge movement of US troops & equipment heading through England onto Rammstein airbase, Germany & apparently onto the middle east.

Squeaky bum time for Iran
Retweeted myself because I said Iran were next

The analogy being Cuba I suppose..

The USA didn’t invade Cuba to try to overturn communism. They stopped the missiles and supported an attempt to replace the government. Ukraine isn’t an “enemy government”. It’s a sovereign nation trying to defend itself from aggression.
Lol, I'm sure this has been answered but......er......the bay of pigs? Lmfao

The funny thing is you were an adult when this event happened, I wasn't born, but I know about it

I can't think of a single instance of a happy conclusion to any of the USAs interventions over the last 30 years or so, or even since the end of WW2.

The USA has military power paid for by its 38 trillion debt, which it uses indiscriminately to kill anyone who gets in its way.

'It's not our fault if american oil is under the ground of other countries' - Donald Rumsfeld.

The self-defence argument is ridiculous, there must be a threat of force against you Venezuela could not possibly do that.

2026 already another dangerous unstable year brought upon the world by an elderly USA president.

😎

You really need to move out of the west and into one of those other amazing countries that you don't slag off

Does Trump let them back?.....We saw what they tried to do to him.

I think the mid terms results will decide what happens.

There's a reason Trump is spending a lot on the military and giving them all two grand cheques. The admin have been going through the department firing anti Trump leaders.

Personally I think 'democracy' is on hold in America for a while.

If the Democrats had left him alone in 2020 this would all be different....but they wouldn't walk away.

Low quality elites.
Yup the democrats legal campaign may or may not have been just but by gawd it fed the paranoia and victim delusion of Trumps base.

Each court case stuffed Trumps ballot box.

Somone said on X that if Trump was president in 1940s, the left would criticize him for capturing Hitler. I find it hard to disagree with that statement. 🤣
No they wouldn't. The left would have embraced him as one of their own. Trump would never have lived it down.

Anyway the great irony from that tweet is that Trump would have been a rabid isolationist. He would have abandoned Britain to its fate.

I’ve already dealt with this!

The Bay of Pigs happened in my lifetime and I followed it at the time. It was not a US military action. It was a CIA sponsored attempt by exiled Cubans who had been trained by the US military to overthrow Castro. It was a humiliating failure. So not an invasion BY the US. A failed attempt sponsored by them. See the difference? Perhaps not!
