Newcastle vs. Crystal Palace match thread

its at half time that Glasner often does his magic.

Brennan Johnson getting used to his new team. Must be like one of us after buying a new car. It always takes a while to find the button for the fuel-tank, the fog lights, the rear-window defrost.
Yes. Any mug can substitute one 70m player for another and see if that works. A good coach uses halftime to help his existing XI understand what they need to do better or differently so that they improve.

Main thing we need to do is get the back three closer together. Which Glasner can do. And obviously score when we get a chance. Which Glasner can't really influence.

We've done well so far, but I'm conscious of the possibility of usual drop off on 70 mins.
I could see Sosa (for Clyne) and Devenny coming on, which on paper makes us weaker but there's not a lot of choice..

No long throw specialist now without Lerma so we'll have to have a revised approach.
Especially as they can bring Woltemade on and we can bring erm…..I’ll say no more 🤣

I thought Mateta v Bournemouth was worse .My cat could have scored that .
Crystal Palace have been linked with forward Frenchaigle’s Cat. The player is renowned for his agility and speed, all be it his current manager has questioned his work rate at times. He is believed to be available for £30m plus a packet of dreamies but the cat itself may prefer a move to some old towels. Here’s a highlight video of him chasing a squeaky toy with a bell in it.

He looks a little loss on the transitions, not sure who to pick up which is giving that mug Gordon a lot of time and space. This is why Ollie says he likes a good few weeks with a player to get them into the system and set up, alas we have f*** all time for that and and at £35 big ones… he can learn on the job.
