The bbc, again.

Strangely he is, apparently, also a man. He might have a fake tan and dyed hair, as well as a malfunctioning brain, but he isn’t AI.

The event in question occurred when he was a candidate. Not as part of his Presidential duties.

It’s not the US government suing the BBC. It’s Donald Trump.
If the jury are students of semantics that might be valid.

So you think there is middle ground in the USA. It’s like over here. You are left or right.
Completely untrue. There is a huge middle ground who agree with parts of both. I am fiscally conservative, in that I don’t approve of borrowing to pay for today, except in an emergency, but socially liberal, in that there are some who need our help.

The same is true in the USA.

Why?

The BBC are perfectly capable of hiring good lawyers. Whilst Trump’s have hardly achieved a stellar reputation in recent years.
Because Florida has been almost exclusively a Republican state for over 70 years, the Democrats haven't held the governorship or either house of the legislature since 1999 and Trump is a Republican President.

Most Americans accept that suing is part of the American way. They will not be outraged that Trump is doing this, no more than the woman who sued MacDonalds because she spilt hot coffee on herself.

People over here might be offended that Trump is taking on the "sacred" BBC but that just doesn't play over there and why should it. Would a British jury be bothered about a beloved American corporation?

It really will come down to can Trump prove his case. The jury will not care about the morality of suing a new broadcaster.

I think that’s obviously true but not really the point.

Whilst Florida is heavily Republican that doesn’t mean that everyone there approves of Trump. He isn’t that popular there, other than in the sycophant class who hang around Mar a Lago. Democrats exist there too. Someone has to do the menial work and they serve on juries just as often as the rich guys do.

Jury selection will remove those who have decided the case before they enter court.

It's those doing the menial work who support Trump since it's their jobs which are at risk.

It’s them who are most heavily impacted by the rising prices of necessities and unaffordabilty of healthcare. Thus most likely to be abandoning him. Which they are, his approval rating hitting ever lower numbers every week.

Some will stick it out but they would be easily identified during jury selection and discarded.

And it's ever been the case. Unemployment in those circumstances becomes even more of an issue. Pinning your case on an anti-Trump jury doesn't show much faith in the judicial process.

Completely out of touch.

High earners in the US lean Democrat.
'Menial' workers, as you charmingly describe them, lean towards Trump.

It's been that way for a long time now.

I am not. I don’t think it will ever get to trial. It will either be dropped with Trump trying to gain more attention with bs about “respect for the special relationship and his dear friend Keir” with the real reason being his lawyers saying it’s hopeless. Or that the trial Judge throws it out following a request from the BBC’s lawyers.

All I am saying about the jury is that just because one is formed in Florida doesn’t make it Republican leaning.

We'll see.

So I go onto the BBC website:

Stories in order:
1. Iran leader says anti-government protesters are vandals trying to please Trump
2. Why are there huge protests going on in Iran?
3. Video emerges of Minneapolis shooting filmed by ICE agent who opened fire
4. Trump says US will decide which oil companies can operate in Venezuela
5. US seizes fifth oil tanker linked to Venezuela, officials say
6. Latest plans for White House ballroom revealed
7. Trump's grand plan to reshape the world order leaves Europe with a difficult choice to make

Are they obsessed with the US or something?

Well there clearly is no bad news in the uk. Not that we are allowed to know about. No gang stabbings, rapes by groomers, or general violence. Wait for a hurty tweet and it will get busy 💁
