The bbc, again.

Strangely he is, apparently, also a man. He might have a fake tan and dyed hair, as well as a malfunctioning brain, but he isn’t AI.

The event in question occurred when he was a candidate. Not as part of his Presidential duties.

It’s not the US government suing the BBC. It’s Donald Trump.
If the jury are students of semantics that might be valid.

So you think there is middle ground in the USA. It’s like over here. You are left or right.
Completely untrue. There is a huge middle ground who agree with parts of both. I am fiscally conservative, in that I don’t approve of borrowing to pay for today, except in an emergency, but socially liberal, in that there are some who need our help.

The same is true in the USA.

Why?

The BBC are perfectly capable of hiring good lawyers. Whilst Trump’s have hardly achieved a stellar reputation in recent years.
Because Florida has been almost exclusively a Republican state for over 70 years, the Democrats haven't held the governorship or either house of the legislature since 1999 and Trump is a Republican President.

Most Americans accept that suing is part of the American way. They will not be outraged that Trump is doing this, no more than the woman who sued MacDonalds because she spilt hot coffee on herself.

People over here might be offended that Trump is taking on the "sacred" BBC but that just doesn't play over there and why should it. Would a British jury be bothered about a beloved American corporation?

It really will come down to can Trump prove his case. The jury will not care about the morality of suing a new broadcaster.
