Any assumption, whether subsequently been found to be accurate or not, is always a mistake. That some turn out to be true doesn’t mitigate the harm done by any that aren’t.Assumptions based on previous events which turn out to be true. Just another example of your predilection for authoritarianism. Don't think anything other than what you're told and if it turns out that you were lied to then it was for your own good.
When waiting for facts ensures accuracy what’s the benefit of assumption? Other than boosting the most worthless commodity on the planet. Ego!
