New Manager Planning

You maybe could drop it, we all know your opinion by now. And perhaps be a little cautious with pretending and presenting a personal opinion like facts.
Don't tell me what i can say or can't say, your not the opinion maker, i will say what i feel, if you don't like it, do one.

Simon Jordan commented "It is obvious he is leaving".
I suppose that when a manager has only 6 months to run on his contract and is vocal about being less than happy with the support he has received in the Transfer Market, I understand why such a conclusion is reached.
Need to take anything Simon says with a pinch of salt. He tried Martin ONeill what he was thinking this week

I’d happily do one and would hit the ignore button if there was one. Repeating yourself time after time doesn’t make your points more valid.
Pretty certain the far majority of match going fans completely disagree with your Glasner opinion.

Whatever happens OG has an interesting conundrum to deal with in the here and now - essentially 3 of his lynchpin players are either off form (Mateta) or injured (Kamada and Munoz). He doesn't have much to play with given there are some important games coming up, so how he deals with it will be of interest to the naysayers and supporters alike.

Sarr will be missing too for a number of games on Afcon duty.
With these absences, if Glasner manages to negotiate this period over the next month successfully he will earn the right to be considered not only Palace's greatest manager, but one of THE greatest managers !

Yes, Sarr is also a first 11 starter, so OG has to find some answers and field players he hasn't used too often, there seems little other choice.

Glasner for me is the Emperors new clothes, i would like Thomas Frank, if he is available, there would be no new contract for Glasner, i am sick of his one dimensional play, and hissy fits, big girls blouse.
Late on this. Under him we’ve won our first ever major trophy. Been up there with and beaten the big boys. We’ve sold our two best players and still in the top 6. FFS you’re talking b0110cks.

There is an ignore button 🤣

I can't see him doing well with manure or spurs as they are rotten to the core, I think he works well with smaller clubs imo, just look at Tomas Frank ect dose well at smaller clubs.

Ultimately, same as everyone, OG is responsible for his own career.

I think he sees the glass ceiling at Palace and feels that he's virtually there. If we could win the Conference that would be a good time for him to look elsewhere with his stock still high.

I'd prefer him to stay, and to me it feels like the club haven't done enough to build on last seasons success in terms of strengthening the squad.

It's hard not to conclude that he will be on his way at the end of the season. So I hope the media reports about potential managerial targets have some legs. Ideally Parish will have somebody lined up to come in as soon as Glasners contract has expired.

Judging by his comments that the club should have invested instead of saving, it would appear that he is of the same mind.
I have stated on HOL some while back that I would be surprised if he was our manager next season.

Glasner has all the attributes to manage a top club. If he leaves, I do wonder if he might be more likely to return to Germany, or possibly even try his hand in another league like Italy where he'll get better weather and where they love a solid defence. Remarkably, he has not only delivered two trophies and taken us to Europe, but he's done so in a fashion that is often highly entertaining. He's got the best out of most of the players and always maintained a quiet sense of authority. The idea that he should stay with us because we're his level is the plea of a desperate man. The only way he stays is if Parish can prove we have another level.

My hunch is that Glasner has concluded that we have reached our summit.
I fully expect someone else on the managerial 'Throne' next season.

It's an interesting challenge isn't it? Parish can look back and conclude that under Glasner the club hit new unprecedented heights, now does he consolidate or push further? Of course it all depends on funds. Naturally the new incumbent will be aware of what has gone on before and the state of current play. With a clean slate, the loss of Guehi, and limited funds, a new manager would likely find matching or besting Glasner's record a challenge. I find it likely that the best that could be hoped for would be mid-table respectability. I say this based on our current squad, transfer history, and funds available.

In his first full season at the club (Last season) we finished in 12th place.
Whilst we are riding high at present, I do not believe this will be sustained and it is the model of plausibility that we will end not too far removed from our position last campaign.

If Glasner departs on the back of an FA Cup final victory and a win in the Conference League final the new incumbent will be aware that he has 'big boots to fill'.
