What a strong statement to make.
I don't think they are great and their communications have been poor, but the predominantly right wing media just jump on everything and over blow things - look at the Raynor stamp duty issue v Farage's similar avoidance, as an example.
However, the country is not in recession, the stock market is doing very well, there have been investments in public services and they are trying to get kids out of poverty (breakfast clubs etc).
The 'massive' tax rises in the last budget were actually very minor as a %, and i suspect unless you have a £2m house you will barely notice any differences.
I didn't say anything about massive taxes nor most of the things you said. Hardly any of the things you mention are even Labour initiatives. Breakfast clubs were not their idea. The stock market doing well is nothing to do with Labour either. It's probably a sign of distrust in money if you want to take even the slightest look into it.
As for not having an effect. Freezing tax bands, in conjunction with current inflation and interest rates is equivalent to maybe losing a few percent in real earnings year on year. Next year, we will be able to visibly notice the middle income workers suffering. They've essentially had a pay cut.
Also any pay rises are immediately cancelled out, firstly by income tax, secondly by prices.
Yes, jolly well done to Labour.
You don't want to take "my opinion"? Fair enough. Look up the popularity polls yourself.
As for right wing media - are you joking? The BBC even admit the unpopularity and a Guardian fact check about how Starmer is not the most disliked person ever was honestly required. Look at the polls yourself. It's not my opinion. It's the majority's opinion. And a pretty big majority.
The only thing that will save them at all is their manipulation of the voting system
Which is going on without much reporting. Where are the right wing media on that. Election boundaries need to be changed. Of course they do. Funny how it's when Reform would easily sweep the board. In conjunction with dirty tricks against their opponents of course.
Yet we never have to worry too much. They'll go back to turning on each other again soon.
