Farage says he's 'never directly racially abused anybody' after school racism claims

That would make sense a circling of the wagons to stop the infiltrator, might not be necessary for a variety of reasons. Farage i thought lacked establishment backing.
Lacking establishment backing means little. He has backing or he would be gone long ago. People will not accept a Tory and Labour coalition or even anything more than a gentleman's agreement in opposition. Labour are going the way of the Tories. It's not a hard call with this lot. This is the worst Labour party I've ever seen. Perhaps the worst political party the UK has ever seen. They seem unable to understand basic politics and public opinion. If they weren't so righteous and vindictive, it would be humourous. As it is it's a sad satire on the whole country.
When Reeves bites after Christmas and into New Year, I'm not sure they can ride the storm. They're going to have to find something to sidetrack everyone. Which is worrying. War or going back into Europe: something like that.

In the early 1980's I worked with a guy we were both very young and the office environment was macho "loadsofmoney".

Many of us said things for impact which today I would be ashamed of, especially this guy. He would say all sorts of stuff that today would be construed as racist or poor taste.

Anyway our jobs parted and 20 years later I heard that he had been elected as a politician. He has gone on to have a successful political career much to the dismay of the opposition. From the occasional media I still see he is combative and obviously the opposition parties don't like his policies.

So having been in the public eye for now 20 plus years and an obvious target for a smear campaign (because he is successful). I have noticed there has never been a complaint of inappropriate behaviour or language or complaints from other parties along those lines.

I can only conclude that like me he has grown up and is not the same foolish young man we both were.

I suppose I could out him and do a great deal of trouble, but where do you draw the line. At what point do you say enough, this person has served the public and any allegations of bad behaviour are 40 years ago when he wasn't a public figure.

We all have skeletons in our closet even those who like to believe they are above reproach.

Don't worry too much. You're right - we'll see at the election. I presume you won't mind Labour amalgamating with what's left of the Tories to form the opposition. Presumably under Mahmood.
Dirty tricks and suspending elections isn't fooling anyone. Farage has protection, just like Starmer does, but from different people. He will have fully expected this attack. Everybody did.
Nobody's fooled by It. Except those that are already fools.
I certainly do not share this viewpoint depicting the demise of the Conservative Party.
We are far from 'Dead' as Reform consistently proclaim.
Reform are embarking on a pre-Christmas campaign attacking the Conservatives .To Reform I state "You claim we are so dead and so finished, yet you are bothered to conduct an Anti-Conservative tirade against us".

Fair enough Willo. I'm afraid reality bites sooner or later.

The reality is that our extensive 'Policy Renewal Programme' has been in 'Full swing' for some time and a number of announcements have already been made.
I accept that at present the electorate are not focussing their attention on the Conservatives but in a General Election campaign our message will resonate as the public vote for a Government.

Poll leads during a parliamentary sitting mean less than nowt it is a discontent thing ,on approaching the ballot box voters stay with the tried and trusted.
The key word being 'trusted'.

The mainstream parties have never been less trusted. And for good reason.
We're witnessing an unprecedented attack on our basic freedoms, and an unprecedented attack on our basic rights. Every day sees a fresh front - loss of jury trials, digital id, loss of free speech, etc, etc.
When Klaus Schwab talks about the 3rd industrial revolution, he means it.
The last one saw most of the population transformed into factory fodder. This one is shaping up to be even grimmer.
Both Tories and Labour are fully signed up to this. More and more are waking up and realising. When will you?

If they have spare ammo to attack the 'Great Yarmouth First' political party, I am sure they can give the Tories the odd blast as well.

Historically I’ve voted Tory.
Rhetoric from Conservative Party/members about revised policy packages etc just remind me of this….sorry.

They might but it’s more likely they will be given a Labour and Lib Dem coalition. Unless Reform achieve an overall majority then I cannot see anyone doing a deal with them. So some type of coalition will emerge.

Nigel Farage falsified election expenses whilst standing in Clacton. XTC summed it up best
We're only making plans for Nigel
He has his future in a British cell
We're only making plans for Nigel
Nigel's whole future is as good as sealed, yeah
Nigel is not outspoken but he likes to speak
And loves to be spoken to (in his world)
Nigel is happy in his world (in his world)
Nigel is happy in his world (in his world) 😆

Except he didn't. His agent has been accused of this and that is the agents job to manage campaign finances amongst other things.

We will have to wait to see if that comes to pass, at the moment we only have polls. May 26 we will see how the parties do at the local elections, if we actually have any.

My prediction is if Reform do well it will be dismissed as a protest vote, it's only local elections etc by the parties that lose seats or fail to gain them. Labour should get hammered if the voting reflects national polling. SNP should bet a kicking in Scotland, there now seems a split between Scottish Labour and the Go, Wales looks like a Reform vs PC fight

A claim made by a disgruntled ex-Councillor who has been kicked out of the party 🤔 I wonder what Wissie would say?

It follows reports Nigel Farage has been referred to the police over claims he falsified election expenses. That is not what Sky News are saying on their programme.

So cringe.

Way to prove it's not a witch-hunt.
The thread was about alleged teenage racism 50 years ago. When that didn't really stick, you move the goalposts and it's suddenly about 2025 election expenses.
You're proving everyone else's point for them. It is a witch-hunt.
