Ollie Pope didn't like it. Root and Brook could have gone on for hours more but were both exhausted. Can't be easy batting that long when the temperature is in the mid-90s.

That's taking caution a bit too far. Better the bowlers keep their energy for their main job than trying to add to the 823 we already had and taking 6 wickets makes it look like a pretty good decision.
