Great!!!! I have an excuse to leave it to Mrs. Hannes to decorate the Christmas tree. That saves me from having to listen to her schoolings.

You put your tree up two days before Christmas?? Blimey I’d love that, my mrs has got so much stuff I have to start in November, scrambling about in the dark and cold putting outside lights up etc. if I had my way, I’d put a tree inly up on the 23rd and it’d be back in the loft on the 27th bah humbug 🤣

No, just one day! We celebrate on 24th in the evening. The tree is a source of conflict every year as it obstructs my view on the telly, it hardly survives beyond New Year's day. No humbug!

Our tree overlaps the TV as well, I feel your pain, bloody thing! She had a cull last year and binned some stuff so I might not have to start until November 25th this year 🤨

Arsenal also have a league game away on the Sunday 21st, two days before the rearranged QF. So both teams will be as knackered as each other. Should be a great game!

Arsenal fans complaining should note this, we have the same period of rest so that does seem the fairest way. Plus their squad is far, far larger and they are much more likely to rotate then us anyway.

But to be fair, he's hardly going to ask for our game to me moved. Thats up to us to fight.

Obviously its is a completely sensible request.

The key cause of this is that the Europa League games aren't completely in sync with the CL games.

The joys of success, just think what life would be like without Europe and a Carabao cup 1/4 final…..we’d only have concentrating on finishing 12th again to look forward to in December 🤣

I can only imagine his face if we win. He'll be as magnanimous as his mentor, Pep - great guy, when we won the cup. It'd be worth it just to see that. Those are my personal favourite moments in supporting football. Making the other team cry and whine. Hilarious fun.

I still think back to when Parish uttered his famous, “what if the sun doesn’t come up” statement shortly before losing our only striker to injury.

As good as we are with our small squad, we already have Nketiah injured and Mateta gets tired at about 70 minutes. So if we are not trusting Uche that means Sarr has to go CF and if we lose Mateta and Sarr for a few weeks to injury it would be pretty disastrous.

Does playing more games directly relate to more injuries, I’m not sure but it certainly can’t help.

....and we won't have Sarr during Afcon.
Nketiah will hopefully be back then, but he does appear prone to picking up injuries.

May have to bring back Chris Coleman to play centre forward (a reference for the oldies amongst you).
