Anyone thinking we are playing too many games?

I think loanees Imray, Mustapha, Tayo and Rak-Saki at least, should be re-called.

The squad was already too light and we should have planned for such a pile-up.

4 games in 8 days is quite absurd.

Of course all this is to the benefit of the richest clubs able to stockpile players.

And no Premier League on Boxing Day (except one fixture).

The Premier League have said that no team should play a game within 60 hours of another, whilst FIFA says 72 hours, yet all the solutions being put forward for our cup game against Arsenal would have us playing within 48 hours of another game.
Interesting that a BBC article says the Premier league are blaming UEFA for the lack of games on Boxing Day. I know UEFA are c***ts but I don't see how they can be blamed when it's the tv companies, Sky in particular, who are the tail wagging the dog.

10 games in a month is to much no matter how big of squad you have , need to rearrange the man city so at least it gives some sort of respite and hopefully we would have got the conference lge sorted to

We have three matches in a week starting New Year too. Starts three days after the Spurs game. Expand the time and we have a further four games in 11 days in the New Year. So we have 14 games in 42 days. Exactly a game every 3 days for 42 days. Unacceptable to say the least. Not possible frankly.

It is what it is. Our manager has got us success at a rate which has outstripped the depth of our squad. If we play our best XI every game then with this amount of fixtures we will clearly have injuries and players getting tired late on and conceding. So be pro-active, f the league cup, change the team for European games. Win the FA Cup again (why not) and keep winning PL games. Works for me.

None of those players are good enough and are better off where they are. I've heard more than once that the club would like Rak-Saki off the books if they can find a buyer that meets the club's £10m valuation.
I doubt JRS will ever pull on a red n blue shirt again.

All they have to do is bump the Leeds game to some time in 2026. Then we'll have 2 more days rest from the KuPS game than we would have done (Playing Arsenal on 23rd instead of Leeds on 21st) and we'll still have 5 days from the Arsenal game until we play Spuds on 28th. Doesn't seem so bad to me. We've had Christmas fixtures that were worse than that. I know we then have Fulham, Newcastle and Villa in the space of 7 days in January but thats a January problem. You cant solve all fixture issues for the whole season. One problem at a time.

Two days after Leeds away but five before Spurs. Still not ideal but perhaps better than it was.
At least it's an evening game whereas the Leeds one is early afternoon so a 54 hour gap which is not ideal but probably the best we could hope for bar the PL moving a couple of league games (i.e., Arsenal's and ours) which was never going to happen.
