Summer Transfers 2025 (rumours and incomings)

About a day left and we have potential outgoings-

Edouard
JRS
Ahamada
Guehi

Potential incomings -

Guehi replacement
Canvot
Attacking midfielder and/or forward.

I can’t see another 7 or 8 transactions taking place and I can’t see why we are in a position where they need to take place in little over a 24 hour period.

I understand why there may be need for a couple of last minute deals , but not why 70% of our business has to be conducted in the last 24 hours of a window.
If it sounds harsh so be it, but I find it inexcusable.

I pop back here every day (yes I know ) to see if there is any progress or even any new names being mentioned as targets and its zilch .

Just a long list of players that have already said they are not interested or playing for clubs that say they are not going anywhere .
The French kid looks like the only one thats close .

Lets hope we get some nice surprises tomorrow . But thats enough of that , we've got a game tonight you know !

COYP!

It’s not harsh Patrick, I agree some late deals can be necessary due injuries or unforeseen events but as you say so much last minute business is inexcusable, so much can go wrong in the next 26 hours. Real shame, now we can only hope the club pull off some amazing surprises

And you get 20,000 assistants. All of whom know everything about how transfers work.
And you don’t listen to one of them because you know best and that things only happen in the last 24 hours despite most other clubs having already done their business and are now trying to get rid of their leftovers.

So , just under 12 hours to go to close of the window.

According to the rumour mill
jRS and Edourde on the way out .

Canvot and Uche verbally agreed , medicals happened and just waiting paper work to be signed / announced 🤞🤞🤞

Canvot is the future CB that MG was when we signed him , but OG wants the now CB that MG is now before he’s “ happy “ for him to leave .

Axel Disasi is the latest to be named . Good first season at Chelsea but sidelined under new management so loan to AV with NO option to buy . Profile fits one of the palace moulds in the “ Has shown he can do the job but out of favour where he is “ . At 27 and five French caps he still has something to prove especially to Chelsea .

Pino and Uche give us the attacking cover and Axel Disasi / Canvot give us the CB cover we need .

Then there’s all the players we’ve been linked to / attacking / midfielders

RB ? Let’s see what Steve has in his back pocket or is Clyne / Kpohra enough ?

Then another all action midfielder and one name springs to mind …

🤞🤞🤞🤞for today

It’s just been reported on BBC that we are in negotiations with Brighton for Brazilian CB Igor Julio on Loan
If he's coming to be back up that doesn't make sense, but fair enough. If he's coming to replace Guehi then the poor lad will have a mountain on his shoulders before a ball is kicked. Checking his stats, it seems he was a regular starter at the Tesco bags last season before he pulled a hamstring.

Left footed centre half can also play left back. Don’t know a lot about him but I agree with you, good for cover but he is not really a Guehi replacement.

The angst caused by replacing our captain with a Brighton loan would be palpable if that was the case.

Nothing about this feels right. Especially the fact that its Brighton.

We'll not be allowing MG to go with this guy as the replacement (surely not)

I am honestly not holding my breath.
It's been quite a few years in a row now that we're all sat at our screens at two minutes to deadline hammering the refresh button, furrowing our brows as to why that signing announcement hasn't come up yet, and then double checking the correct window closure time.
Then we spend the next day discussing loans from abroad as that window is still open but again nothing happens.
Then, finally, some well intentioned board member posts a list of all free agents we could potentially get.

Then nothing happens.

I'm not being a Debbie Downer, but in this case if something does happen it's a bonus.
