Marc Guéhi

Presumably the alternative is to have found and bought in replacements for Eze & Guehi before letting them go, that of course needed the board to stump up the cash flow for what - 4 weeks? Which they would then get back from the sales. The risk is that whoever buys them know we have to sell and takes a bit off the price. The upside is you don’t go into games against Forest & Villa under strength and on the back foot, risking losing points you could have got with a stronger team. Pretty clear to me board will take a slow start over loaning the club some short term money
So do we start the season under strength or over strength? Conundrum, but many sources will loan money or maybe a rights issue.

....and the inevitable Chelsea loanee and Guehi replacement is.....Disai....according to Nixon.
He is a powerful defender, but he has a mistake in him.
Disasi by name, Disaster by nature according to the Chelsea fans. Cost them a fortune and cannot even get on the bench even with Colwill injured
Still, he obviously has played better before he moved to England, is on a relatively low salary and we need bodies. I thought Bournemouth were in for a permanent, though

To be fair Gallagher couldn’t get in their team or Guehi or Chalobah, or de Bruyne or salah, no doubt there are many many more given their lack of patience. I’d rather Guehi stayed but we would pay for that next summer when we have to splash the cash. Now seems the time to sell so long as they are happy with the replacement and Chelsea can’t take them back in Jan if it’s a loan

Now I'm confused

It means Glasner got his way. if he was going to Liverpool there was NO WAY he was playing today, they would not chance it and it would be part of the offer for him to be left out the squad. also there would be little time left for him to travel to Liverpool and conduct a medical before tomorrow.

I hope I am right, but it looks more likely he is staying. Get a new CB in before Monday and he has a season or at least till Jan to get up to speed in time for Guehi exit in Jan or July

At this late stage it looks like we couldn't find the right calibre replacements.

I see what you're saying, but, B'ham New St has a direct link to L'pool Lime St, which means he could be having a medical in the morning. Ooo look l'pool just gone 1-0 up 83rd min
